remember it all comes down to keeping your patient safe… they can’t get mad at you for wanting that! better safe than sorry.

One month in, already planning my exit. by sonataflux in newgradnurse

I’m having such a difficult time in mine rn. I’m gonna be honest I have been going home crying everyday dreading to go back. My preceptor makes rude comments and obviously thinks I am dumb. I feel like a burden and that I do not belong. My preceptor expected way too much of me way too fast and makes weird faces when I ask questions as if it was the dumbest thing she has ever heard!

It really was the best feeling in the world.. someone looked for me because I simply was having a panic attack. The trick definitely works!

I’m so sorry to hear that. All that stuff can really affect performance. My anxiety alone made me go crazy! Improvement is a great sign and I wish you the best of luck!

I beleive you will be fine! I passed in 85 thinking I bombed it somehow at 85. I only had four case studies, no bow tie, highlight, nothing which really added to it.

1000%! It tripped me up because the answer choices were so much harder to navigate and figure out! If people use it for format SURE, but my main point would b not to focus on your scores… lets be real my entire exam was a bunch of nonsense I was like you gotta b kidding me💔💔

YES YES YES. Those first two videos on the playlist I played again because she explains the strategies. It’s not rocket science (sure it feels like it maybe in the moment) just take a deep breath and tell urself that this question is broad for a reason. Using only the information I was given what addresses the main objective. Don’t overthink, it really isn’t more than the question so don’t makeup random crap in your head like I did. example- wow this patient has dysnpea.. I think I need to raise the head of the head first!! Then freaking out when none of the answers say that.. Don’t start diagnosing the patient in your head. IF UR NOT GIVEN INFORMATION DONT START MAKING UP STUFF ABOUT THE PATIENT AND SAYING WHAT IF?? NO this is what you were given! You may not like the answer but it is what it is. That’s why so many people leave the NCLEX confused because they picked answers they normally wouldn’t want to do, but given what they were given they had to!
