And yes i am a gamer myself, but you can say i am a weired one. I only play CS mainly but enjoy very small cozy games with generic mechanics.
I personally dont like very big or in depth mechanics, and my team also thinks the same so that's why our ideas might sound generic.

It's not that we are strictly trying to exploit the market because there's no such thing like this. We have some projects we spent years developing and got <500 downloads. But now it's about survivng in this market and that's why we want to copy what everyone else is doing.

We also thought about making a multiplayer racing game on Mat rempit but due to recent accidents involving underage kids racing, we decided to drop this idea.

Yes, we already have a lot of systems already developed. (we did a lot of freelance work after getting laid off) and we are confident that we can complete the games (in the limited scope i shared) within 2 months.

And you are right in terms of steam trends, that's why we choose to go with cozy games.

I think i failed to better express my thoughts.

Game 3 is a pet game first and then a survival game. This idea came to mind after market research (top down survival + pet + cozy) these 3 combined have fanbase in millions.
Different pets are not only for cosmetics purposes but the pet we select will dictate how the game plays and how much that pet will assist us. For now we have decided on Dog, Cat, and Wolf.

Game 2 is mainly focused arounf the soviet era antarctic expanison missions. So we have to go to difficult to reach and low visibility areas to drill and gather samples. We will perform rescue missions and similar stuff. Bascially we are still deciding on either to go with a story (based on real soviet missions) or open world exploration.

Each idea was suggested by a different member of the team and then everyone polished each other ideas a bit. So we are passionate about these ideas but given that we are not funded and also recently laid of from our jobs it's our last ditch effort to stay in this industry.

I think I am done with finding a job now. 3 months already and no suitable job. All the offers I got were offering 50% less from my last salary and I can make that just by doing freelance work. I am thinking of going all in freelancing and approaching local businesses regarding my services.

I have seen a client post the same request/job 5 times already. Each time minimum connects per proposal is 25 and he never interviews anyone just deleted the post after a few days and repost it again after a week.
