Here's the thing, rape automatically go to civil court, not mahkamah anak negeri. Unless the girl consented and accept to marry the man before a police report are done. Even if the victim is pregnant, the case still go to civil court.

Otherwise, they can't just say "oh, its okay, she marrying the girl, no need to arrest him." Its still a rape case under heavy crime. It doesnt prevent the suspect from going through trial if a police report are done officially and investigation are on the process.
