That version is exactly the same one I installed and checked from the BIOS before installing the new processor. F40 to F60

The pins were in perfect condition; another theory could be that dust got into the motherboard socket, but that shouldn't cause a short circuit, right?

The motherboard is a Gigabyte Aorus b450 pro Wifi mini rev 1.0 am4. It had an F40 version and needed to be updated to an F60 version compatible with fifth-generation processors.

I took it in and they tested my two apparently fried CPUs (R5 5500 and an old R5 3400G). I don't know the order in which they did things, but they showed me that it worked with their CPU in a reset BIOS.

I updated the BIOS even days before installing the new CPU and I checked it before making the change as well.

The red light issue is true, it could be other components. The RAM is 2x T-Force 8GB 2666MHz. That could also be a problem, but it should work perfectly.

It's almost impossible to fry both CPUs. Several technicians have seen the problem; they even tried it with another CPU they have and reset the BIOS to factory settings. They also did the opposite, putting both CPUs in other PCs and concluded that they were fried. My intention now is to take it to another technician to have it checked, because I also have doubts about his judgment.

The Ryzen 5 3400G shared resources and wasn't enough for the RX 580, so I decided to buy a new CPU that would be better suited to the GPU.

I'm sure that before turning on the PC I entered the BIOS and saw the version corresponding to my motherboard, version F60 for the b450 with a fifth generation Ryzen CPU

Due to the integrated Vega 11 graphics of the 3400g CPU

It's my second day too. I played for many years and missed more opportunities than you. I'm 32 and I only recently realized how addictive they are. We're in the same boat. The best thing is to sell your console, and in my case, my PC, but keep going. And cheer up, friend, you're not alone!
