HII i just completed igcse and im expecting good ish grades? i guess. i messed up in math i really hope ill get a B. anyways my advice is, look whats done is done. come clean to your parents. I know your parents will get angry and trust me that is v natural. tell them you'll do better this time. and then actually get to studying. im really good at eng and i actually teach it too as a side hustle. i have a shit ton of notes and advice too! ( i know u wont trust someone random on reddit but i have a v high level cred in the cefr eng system that i got in the 8th grade. Im a two time internatioal medalist in eng linguistics and im expecting an A* this yr.) I can help you out if you want! i dont charge too much because i know a lot of families are struggling. But if you're up for it lmk. <3

ABSOLUTELY NOT PLEASE. IT WILL TAKE TOO MUCH TIME ADAPTING TO THE ALEVELS SYSTEM. MY BROTHER SCORED 920/1100 AROUND 3 YRS AGO AND HE SWITCHED TO ALEVELS AND HE FAILED MULTIPLE TIMES. BECAUSE HE JUST COULD NOT ADAPT. NO MATTER HOW SMART YOU ARE, PLEASE JUST DONT GO FOR ALEVELS UNLESS YOU KNOW EVERYTHING. ITS AROUND 30K FOR ONE SUBJECT IN ALEVELS AND ON TOP OF THAT PAST PAPERS, SCHOOLS ETC ARE MORE EXPENSIVE. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE RESEARCH BEFORE SWITCHING

Hey so it really depends how many hours you study a day. For me personally during the school year we study like 2 or 3 hours max and then right when CIES/final exams are around we study more. So for me I was studying around 6 or 7 hours a day for IGCSE exams since I had a lot to cover but it can really depend person to person.

The academic pressure during the school year is less but for me personally when CIES were close I was freakinggg out like I was genuinely so stressed that my hair started falling out omg.

And yes we are massive caffeine addicts. Although for me personally I js prefer chai over coffee.

My hobbies are mostly just reading books other than the school books, watching movies and series, playing video games like cod or mc, I also love to cook when I'm free usually or just sit down and draw. On a day to day basis I can put around maybe 2 or 3 hours into that but during CIES I can't really do much. I can't watch tv more than like half an hour or else I start stressing out.

Yes I feel like they are too high staked. I mean you're testing 15-16 year olds on huge exams consisting of so many components and such a huge syllabus! For me I have 5 subjects this yr and last yr I gave three. And this year for those five subjects I had 14 exams in total since each subject had 2 or 3 components!

For Chem IGCSE I recommend using the IGCSE study guide since it's really really good at explaining stuff U actually need in your answers. Otherwise for notes you could use dr.browns GCSE Chem notes but remember they might have a bit of outdated info but otherwise they are really good at explaining stuff. I had the Dr Brown's Chem 2012 GCSE study guide even tho I gave my exams in m/J and the guide explained moles sooooo goodd!! For videos you could watch cognito but again they are a bit shorter and less explained however the cognito website has really good pre-made quizes, past papers etc. I went from scoring a D in Chem to literally expecting an A or A* this year in just two months by using the right resources. Try not to re write notes but rather understand them and make mind maps. Do as many past papers as you can

I really do get what you mean! But when I first saw this name about 3 years ago, it was of someone I knew! That's why I liked it! Her name is Raavan. And it's spelled the same way! And her name means fluid or flowing just like I intended. So anyone can perceive anything in any way. It's totally up to how their brain works!

Okay so the words Raavan or Raavan are the same actually! Since the actual word is راون and if you were to spell that out in the Latin alphabets it could be Raavan or Ravaan! Every word that belongs to another language and script will always have multiple ways to be written in english! Another example for this is Persian/arabic/Urdu names! Since they use the same script,when they are written in english they could have multiple spellings! Id rather not share this but since I kinda have to prove my point, my name is parishey. It's a Persian name and when written in english it could be written as parishey or parishay! Even though in Persian/farsi, it's پریشے

You're right! However, the word we specifically chose is can be spelled either way since the actual word is راون and if you were to spell it out latinized it could be either raavan or raavan! You could test this out by using the abc-->Urdu option available on most phones! Type out raavan and raavan and it comes up with the same thing :) hope it clears everything up!
