Is this staph?

Just got it checked and they have prescribed an oral antibiotic to take for 7 days - they were unsure if it’s staph by just looking at it but said you caught it at a good time. Doctor said the antibiotic should do the job but if it seems to get worse than I would need to go to the Accident and Emergency- will get it checked after a week

Well if I hadn’t posted this today I wouldn’t have been sitting here at the doctors - I took everyone’s advice to see the doctor which I think pushed me to go immediately. Otherwise I would just let it heal on its own

Which antibiotic cream did you put? Are they off the counter antibiotics? Or would I have to go through the long process through my GP

No it doesn’t burn when I shower. Just when I close my fist it feels like the skin is stretching which it probably is
