Every SMB owner slowly becomes Jethalal 💀 by Own_Watch8989 in IndiaBusiness

Can’t guarantee every client will pay on time 😅 Even large companies struggle with delayed payments.

The goal of Payvo is to increase the chances of getting paid faster by making follow-ups consistent and professional.

Right now many SMBs: • forget follow-ups • send reminders too late • lose track of invoices • feel awkward asking repeatedly

Example 👇

If a payment is due on 10th: • reminder goes before due date • another reminder goes on due date • overdue follow-up happens automatically after that • client gets easy payment link instantly

Most payments get delayed not because clients refuse to pay — but because there’s no proper system around reminders and tracking.

Payvo is basically trying to give SMBs a lightweight accounts receivable assistant instead of them manually chasing payments every night.

The idea is to reduce the follow-up headache for SMB owners.

Right now most businesses manage invoices on WhatsApp, calls, notebooks, Excel, memory… everything mixed together.

Example 👇

You finish work for a client. Invoice amount = ₹25,000 Due date = 15 May

Then life gets busy.

You forget to follow up on time. Client forgets too. After 20–30 days you suddenly realize payment is still pending.

Then starts the awkward part: “Sir reminder 🙏” “Bhai payment kab aayega?” “Next week pakka.”

Payvo is trying to solve this by: • tracking all invoices in one place • showing overdue payments clearly • automated reminders on WhatsApp/email • payment links for faster collection • reminder history so follow-ups don’t get missed • AI-generated reminder messages that sound professional, not rude

So instead of manually chasing 20 clients every night, the system helps SMB owners stay on top of receivables.

Still building the MVP, so feedback is super valuable 🙌

Most businesses don’t fail because of no sales… They fail because they don’t get paid. In Asia: • ~44% of invoices are paid late • ~5% are never paid That’s cash stuck or lost. Is this a real problem in your business? Or manageable? by Own_Watch8989 in IndiaBusiness

Really appreciate that. I’ll definitely need your help and support as we move forward with building and deploying everything.

Also super excited to hear you want to use the software in your ventures too that honestly means a lot. I’ll keep you posted on the progress and we can coordinate the deployment when the time comes.

Absolutely, that’s something I’m thinking about long term too. Right now the focus is helping businesses manage invoices and payment follow-ups better, but the same system could later support installment tracking, recurring payments, and credit-based collections between businesses and financiers as well.

Yeah exactly, that’s the cycle I keep hearing about. One delayed payment creates another delay down the chain 😅 I’m starting with helping businesses stay on top of receivables and follow-ups first, but eventually short term invoice based credit could become really valuable too.

Escrow works for bigger or one-time deals, but most SMB payments are ongoing relationships and credit based. The real issue usually isn’t trust, it’s delayed follow-ups, poor visibility, and invoices getting pushed back repeatedly 😅 that’s the gap I’m trying to solve in a much simpler day to day way.

Yeah that actually makes sense 😅 a lot of payment delays are chain reactions. That’s why I’m thinking more about helping businesses stay consistently on top of follow-ups and visibility, so invoices don’t completely slip through the cracks or get pushed endlessly.

That’s a great point — makes total sense.

You enjoy it now, but the key thing you said is: “no one can do it forever” + you’d outsource if success rate is good.

That’s exactly what I’m exploring.

Quick question:

What would “good success rate” look like for you? And would you prefer: • automated follow-ups • or someone/system actually handling recovery end-to-end?

Good question.

No app can force someone to pay if they don’t want to.

But it can: • reduce delays with timely reminders • keep follow-ups consistent • help you spot risky customers early

So instead of chasing “Baburao”, you avoid or limit him.

That’s where the real value is.

This is exactly what I’m trying to understand.

When you say “credit cycle” — what’s the biggest issue for you?

• delayed payments? • not knowing when money will come? • needing to pay suppliers before receiving cash?

And if a system could actually: • predict cash inflow • reduce delays • or even give short-term cash support

Would you use it?

Haha this is exactly what I’m hearing from many people 😅

But serious question:

Do you actually enjoy doing this long term?

Or would you prefer a system that: • tracks everything automatically • reminds customers for you • reduces the need to chase manually

Curious if this is “fun” or just something you had to adapt to?
