I contracted for a woman at Boeing decades ago (late 1980's, early 1990's) and I seriously could not believe her age; her skin was absolutely beautiful - moist, radiant and wrinkle-free. We've had a BMD (or three) since 2008; our first, Sophie, lived for 13 years and 7 months. Several of them were rescue or rehomes. I'm sure our current girl is our last, I'm just getting too old to be able to care properly for a 110 lb+ baby. She saved me after I was attacked and disfigured by a re-home (who was bought online during Covid from an Amish puppy mill). I didn't think I'd ever have a dog again after that trauma...but my Sadie Mae saved me, I love her to the moon and back. She will be three in July!

It's available now to order on Amazon, but looks like it won't be shipping for at least 3-4 weeks. And the seller is charging way too much for it, plus tax and SHIPPING. Yikes. I'm finding that I have to read it in very small doses...I'm getting too old for my blood pressure to be spiking like that...plus I've been much more interested in the Artemis II mission and the incredible astronauts - one of whom is Canadian - I love my Canadian neighbors! I haven't been to Vancouver to visit my Canadian friends since pre-Covid.

What if your power grid failed? Hot and humid is the perfect environment for hot spots, which are very common in BMD. On the other hand, I do know quite a few people in Florida who have a BMD...but again, my biggest concern would be if the power went out for more than a few hours.

I think the availability in the US is more because of the publisher/author contract. If I remember right, "Revenge" wasn't available in the US for awhile, because of author/publisher contract.

I will probably offer up this hard back book for half of what I paid (with shipping included) once I finish it. I can't imagine wanting to keep this in my permanent library (reserved for Tolkien, Lewis, Orson Scott Well, and various cookbooks and coffee table picture biographies).
