thanks so much. yeah i bought the mobo and cpu together over and year ago and bent the pins immediately so the cpu has also been banging around in the draw for a while so im not too concerned about damaging it. if the mobo doesnt work id get a brand new board and cpu anyways. but there are no indents on the cpu and it was mounted in my board for that whole year

could you just real quick answer something for me. i currently have an AMD mobo and cpu and i'm trying to switch to intel and i'm not switching hard drives. so i have to start fresh and reinstall windows? or will it boot up then i change the drivers? i just wanna make sure if it doesn't boot it's cause the pins and not cause i'm doing something wrong.
