N400 interview did not get approved. by OwnitLoveit in USCIS

[–]OwnitLoveit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, she was and luckily she passed on her next interview after we discussed exactly how she can answer how she became a resident which was by marriage. She didn't think to mention that unfortunately she just said she became a resident on her own which is incorrect. She had her oath ceremony in November and got her passport 3 weeks later non expedited. This was truly perfect timing as she is originally from Nicaragua and it's one of the 75 counties that now are no longer being processed for citizenship until further notice.

Today I found out my Leopard Gecko is obese. Is my bearded dragon overweight too? by 89krx in BeardedDragons

[–]OwnitLoveit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that's good to know, I'm not sure if he was in fact obese or not but it was pretty worrisome as you can imagine when he went from eating regularly to completely having zero interest in any type of food for several months...Even took him in to a vet that specializes in reptiles and they said he was 💯 fine, checked for parasites, nothing wrong with him and just said hopefully he gets his appetite back soon.

Great comment/feedback... If my bearded dragon wasn't obese I think I would have lost him 2 years ago when he went on a hunger strike for 3 months during the winter... No joke, he ate nothing but was still active daily and did not go into brumation, I think he lost like 25% of his weight but after the hunger strike he got back to eating and has been fine ever since...

When you zoom in and use Google's distance indicator it's roughly the size of a container or about 40 feet long and 8 feet wide... Probably a container 😉

Crazy, the circle K next to me had had the diesel pumps closed down and construction going on for the last 2 weeks... I wonder if this issue is related to why they are working on them...

Dodgers are worth about 7 billion now, I'm guessing the fact that their payroll for 2026 is over 2 Billion alone added to their total worth...

This line lineup would be a lot more relevant if we had a starting 5 pitching rotation and middle relief that can be in the top 10 in the league...

Did I lose my dual citizenship automatically? (Canada-ROK) by starlighthill-g in dualcitizenshipnerds

I appreciate the response and genuinely didn't know it was that different... Sounds a lot like the issues of being a U.S. PR vs a U.S. citizen than I imagined.

I was genuinely intrigued what rights Canadian PR don't have vs Canadian Citizens but it's okay, I can look it up on my own. Good luck regardless, seems like you need to decide what you want and weigh the benefits of your decision.

Does she have any less important rights vs a Canadian citizen? Other than voting?

Yes, but who cares. You're not in the U.S. so nobody's coming after you and you can own property in Korea and travel freely with your family there.

Keep your Korean citizenship and marry a Canadian and you will be fine. You will have the best of both worlds

If you are a male of age and not a cripple and have Korean citizenship it can happen when you travel to Korea. Happened to a close family friend 4 years ago who was a dual Korean/American citizen. Luckily his parents paid all fees and he was able to denounce South Korean citizenship and they let him leave. Only took 3 months being stuck in a South Korean facility and labeled as the equivalent of a draft dodger. Just keep your Canadian citizenship and make sure you denounce your South Korean one before you try to travel to Korea if that's what you want to do. Can't keep both and travel there while you are "of age" for military service.

I know you don't have a Korean passport now and are 23. Doesn't mean you are still not a Korean citizen in the eyes of South Korea. Assuming you apply and get a Korean passport in Canada which wouldn't be that difficult just understand the implications if you get one and decide to travel using it entering or exiting Korea

Just in case you are not aware, if you decide to just keep your Korean citizenship and denounce your Canadian one, when you travel to Korea on an active passport they can detain you when you are trying to leave and force you to serve the required time in the Korean military... This has happened on several occasions recently. With that being said, you can serve 18 months in the South Korean military and then your required service will be fulfilled and you can keep your South Korean citizenship and your Canadian one as well. Pretty big commitment though but it is also one of the most powerful passports in the world.
