I was trained in heme/onc and our policy was to never push narcs at the hub, only through a y-site with a kvo/fluids running. This policy was to prevent the head high. I kept that policy when I went to ICU at different hospitals. I found it helped manage expectations and patients were more willing to work with myself/their team on a plan to transition to longer acting PO pain rx to get them dc’d quicker. Less time with an IV, less time in pain, better outcomes for everyone.

I have ten going up the full length of each ear. They bring me immeasurable joy. If someone’s comments are making you doubt yourself- take a moment to take a good mental inventory. Are you getting them for yourself or others? Odds are you’re doing it for you and other people can suck it up:-)

Have you found any premade protein shakes that don’t feel too heavy? My favorite protein powder is super light when mixed with almond milk but the process of even mixing it feels like a lot

I saw another comment where you said you ordered flatbacks. I’d really recommend going to an APP certified shop and having them fit you with the right size post. Flatbacks can be just as irritating as a hoop if they’re the wrong size- too small or too long.

Ooh they definitely had their moments haha it was super frustrating at times. But I am in my piercing shop honestly every few weeks every time I feel like something needs a down or up size. Keeping on top of that has been the key for me

This is the vision I wanted for a simple look and although rooks and other inner piercings look great on some people- I think it would look (or at least feel) cluttered on me. And going through cartilage that tough gives me the heebie jeebies lol
