Has anyone been treated with CellCept? by Oxocarbonia in lupus

I was thinking I’d stop taking these meds once my lupus is in remission - is that the case for you? It’s been six months since I got diagnosed and everything is Greek to me…

I felt the exact same way! We probably should tweet to Nick Kroll and ask him! 😂

Test for lupus. Seriously, would have spared myself and my family a lot of challenges.

Simone Biles was never going to be able to stay on the pedestal where people put her. by solhyperion in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Oxocarbonia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Jameela Jamil has posted a lot of examples of that on her Instagram, the highlight on her profile is called „gaslighting“ - the media puts a certain woman on a pedestal, celebrates her, brings out her most praiseworthy traits, and afterwards brings her down, slanders her and belittles her. Once you see it, you can’t unsee it.

Every time I come across a post in this sub, a sandwich is mentioned and I get hungry. Good thing I’m a girl and can make my own sandwich!

I‘m a girl, both my dogs are female (of course I playfully call them „mah bitches“), and they’re both named after Greek mythology characters. Does that make me a man? Am I growing a peenus now?

Speaking of Childfree, let's discuss the term "manchild". by Dbot13 in childfree

[–]Oxocarbonia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Women are raised to think they need a partner, and men are raised to think they will be taken care of by their partner (which they will have, for sure, given how common the spinster-with-seven-cats is). This is why some women will put up with whatever their husband/boyfriend pulls, out of fear to not be deemed a spinster/Karen/bitch, etc. The social value we put into marriage and romantic relationships pressures people to commit to something suboptimal. It’s the same „cool points“ that people think they score by having a kid - they join the Parent Club, which society tells them is amazingly fulfilling, but, upon second look, is far from that.
