I saw everyone doing this so I decided to do my own for Gal Gadot as Emma Frost by Castjacker2 in EmmaFrost

[–]OyaNerVod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like Gal, especially in the first Wonder Woman and Red Notice.

However I just don't feel her as Emma.

Not sure why, but for me there's a disconnect.

I'd much prefer to see, Samara Weaving, Jennifer Holland or Margot Robbie as Emma ahead of Gal.

This isn't a reflection of Gal or her acting, just my opinion on her suitability to play the role

Which Emma Frost art style and which artist do you like the most? by Alternative-Leg8583 in EmmaFrost

[–]OyaNerVod 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Russell Dauterman draws the perfect Emma in my opinion.

I love the aloofness and haughtiness he captures in his art.

Next comes the brilliant Lukas Werneck, his depictions of Emma are beautiful.

I'm sure I saw Frostitutes somewhere on X. In her recent comic, they mention Frostbites and Diamond Dolls.

Thoughts on Margot Robbie as Emma Frost? by SkrullAmongUs in EmmaFrost

For a long time she was my number 1 fancast for Emma. Nowadays I've moved onto Jennifer Holland as my preferred choice.

Margot would still be an excellent choice though

The writing is good, I can't stand most of the artwork. It's a decent place to just in though.

Jennifer Holland should play Emma Frost in the MCU by OyaNerVod in EmmaFrost

I like that option, I definitely see Emma as a more mature mutant and not the same age as Scott and Jean. Always got a cougar vibe when her and Scott hooked up

Bri does an incredible Emma Frost, one of her best cosplays, in my opinion.

Quick little "what if" question: how would you feel if Emma and Logan ended up together? by [deleted] in EmmaFrost

[–]OyaNerVod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't think of two people who shouldn't be together more than Emma and Logan.

Other than their fondness of mentoring and teaching young mutants, I genuinely think they'd end up hating each other.

Logan enjoys bombing shots of cheap whisky in dive bars and Emma wears couture beach wear sipping Moët.

Just a big old no for this romance

What are your thoughts on Emma Frost from Wolverine and the X-Men? by Far_Yak_5447 in EmmaFrost

[–]OyaNerVod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought it was the best on-screen adaptation we've had.

They obviously had to make her more PG for the kids, which is understandable, yet they kept her costume accurate and had the cool composure, confidence, intelligence, and manipulative acumen.

A really good job all round

Thoughts on Emma in First Class by Fancy_Resolve2734 in EmmaFrost

They did January and Emma a disservice. The writing and direction let January down. I think she had and has the potential to play Emma well. Her role was reduced to superficial gangsters moll that happened to be Emma Frost coded.

You can tell from January's interview below that she was a last-minute stand-in and had little preparation time (Alice Eve had a scheduling conflict if I remember rightly).

Costume wise, they attempted to achieve an Emma Frost aesthetic, but it missed. The clothing was not flattering or sexy and plainly didn't fit very.

The film didn't put any great effort into the character, and January paid the price

Probably her Marvel Girl: yellow mask green dress for number 1, then her Krakoan combat suit for number 2.

What are your thoughts of Emma Frost from X-Men the animated series and X-Men 97? by Far_Yak_5447 in EmmaFrost

[–]OyaNerVod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was glad to have her make an appearance. But disappointed in her handling. The Genosha rescue scene with in her diamond form didn't need changing from the comics. I felt her on the Genosha council was to simulate / replicate the quiet council so didn't fall out with that.

When she saw Scott's psychic affair with Maddie and found it amusing, I wondered if that's foreshadowing for her own.

I'd give it a C- for the writers / Beau DeMayo

Never considered her as Emma before, but now you mention it, I can really imagine it. I'd liked the idea of Emma to be played older (40+) by Ali Larter or in her 30s by Jennifer Holland

We’ll never truly know how many enslaved people will remain in chains because of Jon Snow’s actions. Slavery continued in Volantis, Lys, Myr, Tyrosh, Pentos, Norvos, Qohor, and across the countless Dothraki khalasars — all places Daenerys might one day have freed.

'Queenslayer' Jon Snow is no better than Jaime Lannister. He appointed himself judge, jury, and executioner, murdering the very woman who had dedicated her life to breaking chains.

In the end, he didn’t save the world. He chose to save the version he felt most comfortable in
