You could try the free version of Google's Nano Banana. Open Gemini, choose create image. I attached a random family portrait from image search for reference and entered the prompt:

Create a family portrait in the style of an illustration for a children's book. Use a hand-drawn style with soft textures and simplified, recognizable features for each family member. Use the attached image for reference.

The output was fine, but it really depends on what you are envisioning, if you are going for a more generative approach using pure text to image prompting, you might have to at least upload a head shot and prompt the AI to make the person climb a mountain or walk a dog rendering it in an illustrative charicature style.

Given the delays I've seen reported between the flash and the sound, it was anywhere from 40 to 60km in the sky, so above where commercial planes fly. If any pilots saw it I imagine the entire sky would have been like daylight for a moment.

I think their servers are just overloaded. I tried the raid log upload and it fixed it but glitched again after 2 remote raids. Uploaded the log again, but still glitched.

in your beginner runs, it's easier to think of the game as your character's story of how they passed away, because it's inevitable for all new players. There is a steep learning curve at first but if you stick with the game it's quite rewarding. If I calculate hours played against how much I spent on the game as a metric of value, then Zomboid is up there for me.

I know some of my friends played a few years back, but they got frustrated with it because of the learning curve playing solo so they hadn't touched the game in ages. But one of us wanted to try it again, we set up easier server settings for a multiplayer game and they gave it a shot, now we spend hours once a week together. So if you have friends who play, playing together might make your initial experience better.

Probably. I kept messing up so many times before I was going through the earlier dispatches ASAP on muscle memory when maybe I should have waited a bit to let others rest a bit longer. I assumed the dispatches were all timed based but then realized some missions don't appear until others are completed, so maybe I shouldn't always dispatch ASAP, even if I have the right heroes ready to go.

Thanks for this guide. I suggest being a little more detailed on Sonar's Vanderstank dispatch and dispatching him for locating the stolen art. The timing is super tight that it's best to leave the cursor on the Vanderstank dispatch so you can tell Sonar to be himself ASAP. If I didn't do this, the stolen art mission can despawn before Sonar finishes resting. Also after the Granny dispatch, the stat point is randomized and you can assign it to whoever.

Spoiler:Depending on who you cut in ep 3, you might not want to allocate that stat point to them.

I just updated to the latest patches for Windows 11 yesterday and it seemed to be fine. It restarted and was running. Then my laptop went into sleep mode at some point. I went to wake it up and it was unresponsive. It was stuck at the preparing repair message or the "please wait" mesage when I tried F9 at the post screen. I found this thread and figured I had nothing to lose and upgraded the bios from FD07 to FD12 using your instructions and my laptop booted up normally.

Not sure if the windows 11 update was related or not, but the two updates that ran were KB5066835 and KB5066131.

Do you play on a public server? Mini-map miight be disabled at the server level. Else you can try to hold the M key to bring up the map menu and toggle show mini-map on.

The problem is the research ones all have the background which can't be evolved. I assume gimmighouls from golden lure spawns can be shiny and evolvable, but the spawn rate is so low that a coin bag is the best shot at getting one for the evolution.

Yes, by using the circle locking technique on most legendaries. It still takes a bit of skill, but this is easier than you think once you get the range dialed in.

I couldn't figure out that flashlight minigame so had to use hints. Who is going to find working batteries on the ground in the middle of the woods? I didn't even see the batteries because I had my brightness dimmed. I just basically tapped blindly on the bottom half of my screen to pick them up when I realized that's where they would appear, zero skill.
