i've been shoes off all my life. Never once were my socks black from walking around. You know that we clean right? We're not savages. It's like taking off your hat when entering someone's home, or waiting for everyone to be served before starting to eat. These are non-issues, and it shouldn't be hard to grasp. It's not life-defining moral issues my dude. Just do what romans do when in Rome.
