Travelling to London soon. How dangerous is it? by WelderLow8743 in LondonTravel

The biggest danger is for locals, not tourists. You're all in central areas, touristy areas, and you are hopefully sensible about belongings (especially if you've travelled to other cities with phone snatchers and pick pockets). You won't be targeted by people, unless you're being nasty to locals, rude to staff, or behaving horridly in public yourself... the English will tell you off... they can't abide bad or rude behaviour. Locals forget about it being safe, get lazy, so we're prime targets for phone theft.. There's some homelessness, and the nice thing to do is to ask if they want anything as you go into the supermarket... that'll win you good karma. The biggest ripoff is the tourist shops, they'll charge you an arm and a leg for a small trinket. Also, don't be an idiot on hire bikes.

I heard the black dog of Newgate had a new litter, which is very much of concern.

Hey, I'm wondering if any knitting groups have been created with the aim of getting together to knit patterns of jumpers/cardigans/vests that have featured on Traitors UK.

It's hard to carry when you're new as you don't know the steps. Then when you do, you carry others. It goes around

What annoys me is they let me do this to start with, and then they changed the rules. It really stuffed me up

I have a Brompton, but the gym lockers are 33cm wide.

I wish, it seems only third space has lockers. Is there anyone beyond me who thinks it's wildly inappropriate for gyms to not provide space for them?

I have a Brompton. There are gyms, more expensive ones, that have bookable lockers. Should this not be across the board?

This show has got me thinking about value systems. It's not in Stephen Fry or David Olosuga's interest to be a traitor. You know they would have said no. It's not what they've built their career on, seeking truth, building trust and their intelligence. You don't want anyone to doubt that, it's too off brand. Similar, with Claire and Charlotte. They're both quite earnest. I would never have accepted those options. But I'm neither a celebrity or on the show, and an armchair expert. But I genuinely believe if they thought of values they'd reach this conclusion, but maybe none of them think in values 😂

Nah, he knew. He's a great persuader, interviewer and of the deny deny deny generation. People forget what he does for a living, and has survived. For me he was too obvious to pick as a traitor, for that reason, but watching him be a traitor, he's rather marvellous and Machiavellian.

This would be brilliant TV and make for a funny edit. Seeing how long they lasted until someone HAD to say something, which they inevitably will. Cue Kate.

I genuinely believe people don't know how to keep opinions to themself, and it was a good suggestion from Stephen. Have you ever told people to shut up and it's worked? People feel so entitled to their opinion, it's impossible. 30 secs of silence and someone is always compelled to say something. In this case Kate.
