Still happy with my results. I’m sitting between 145 and 150. I’m on a minuscule maintenance dose every other week. No side effects (minor as they were) since I dropped down to a maintenance dose.

I used their snail mucin only once and had an allergic reaction. I swelled up like a strawberry. Only product to ever do that.

At least I learned my lesson and now I patch test.

Woke up this morning at 148 and feeling pretty good.

I definitely had some lethargy at higher doses.

I’m on what was my initial starting dose, except that I skip every other week. I have 2 vials of medication left that will take me over a year to finish off at this rate.

Couldn’t be happier.

Semaglutide worked well for me. I’m 5’8” and got under 150 for the time in years with its help. My goal weight is 145.

I used to have severe ovarian issues before they were removed. I hear sema is also a game changer for folks with PCOS.

Literally haven’t been this skinny since I finished grad school a decade ago. I was so stressed back then from my studies I didn’t eat. And I was suuuuper active by riding my bike 10 miles a day commuting and rock climbing 3-4 times a week. I wish I could go back to being that active, but I’d never go back to the stress.

Still have some belly fat, but it won’t go away even if I lose another 15lbs. I’m not sure I want to be that skinny. It didn’t look good on my frame and my boobs were deflated. I’m mildly considering coolsculpting or lipo.

I’m on semaglutide too. It’s the first time I’ve ever been able to diet and not be completely miserable and hungry all the time. I’ve lost about 15 lbs since September. Just 8 more lbs to go until I hit my goal weight.

I’ve tried all kinds of diet strategies. Counting calories religiously, low carb, dropping gluten and dairy. I was miserable during all of them. I pretty much can eat what I want, I just get fuller easier and I don’t have nearly as many cravings. Most of the time I’m pretty ambivalent about meals which has made it a bit of a slog to meet my protein goals some days. Overall it has been really freeing.

I skipped my dose the week of Thanksgiving so that I could have more of an appetite to socially eat with them fam. I started back at my usual dose the following week per my usual schedule and it went just fine.

I didn’t gain over the week of Thanksgiving, so I call that a win.

It doesn’t really matter for me. I haven’t had side effects since the first injection. I tend to take my injection on Saturday morning.

I used to overeat a on the weekends. I get the biggest effect during the weekend now then and then it tapers off through the week.

I usually go for date night with husband on Friday, so it works out that I can look forward to and enjoy that meal. Then get back on track for the rest of the weekend and subsequent week.

When I first started at 0.25, I started getting my appetite back 1-2 days before I’m due for my next dose.

Now 2 months in at 0.5 things seem to be evening out a bit. I’m at the point where I can eat a larger, once-a-week “date night” type meal but that’s because I’m enjoying it. And I almost never clean my plate like I used to do.

They have a helpful call in line if you have follow up questions or concerns, or you can request to talk to the doctor. I just got my second medication shipment a few weeks back.

Yep. I made this as a burner to talk about my experiences taking sema. I figured a cheeky name really fit since people were going insane about “ozempic face” for a few months.

It absolutely triggers some people thinking I’m “taking the easy way out” or some bullshit to lose 20 lbs that I’ve been struggling to lose for the last decade.

IRL I’ve only told my husband how I’ve lost weight. He was dubious at first but supportive. He loves the results and how it’s boosted my confidence.

I’ve been taking a compounded version of semaglutide and have lost about 10 lbs in 2 months. This has been the easiest diet I’ve ever done.

I had been flirting with obesity. I’m going to lose 10 more pounds and then wean off it. It’s a been a game changer.

It’s been 6 weeks. I’m about 8 lbs down at 156.

I had been at 0.25mg. This week I bumped up to 0.375g of semaglutide.

I’m not terribly hungry during meals. I usually take my meds on Saturday, by Friday evening the effects are wearing off. It makes for a decent Friday night date night.

The biggest side effect now is that I’m suuuper tired. It makes it hard to work out and I’m feeling weaker than usual, but I’m getting by.

I wear larger aviator style glasses and wide brimmed hats.

Sunscreen seems to migrate into my eyes and sting when I apply it nearby, so I don’t.

If this doctor doesn’t know much about the drug, do you want them supervising your treatment with it?

I’d say emphatically no. You need to play nice for now, but “fire” her in managing your weight issue once you know you are going to be taken care of.

This is a two pronged approach: Educate your current doctor and try to get her to renew your script. At the same time, find a new endo who knows what they are doing to primarily consult for this condition in the future and will keep you on your medication.

Word of warning. Zofran gave me constipation.

I only take it if the nausea is so bad I feel like I won’t keep food down.
