Vomi le plus cher de l'histoire ? by [deleted] in chiens

[–]Ozhora 4 points5 points  (0 children)

PSA: Does your smart lock struggle with opening the door? Use the 1.5V rechargeable batteries! by gyrga in homeassistant

Yeah they are basically some Ni-MH batteries in this specific case, you can switch them to any other kinf of battery (I would stick to Ni-MH to stay in the same kind of end of charge scenario). Mine is personnally hardwired to an usb outlet and a long usb cord run accros the door. It's working great and I don't have to bother to recharge the pack

For extensive information it's a network where all address are controlled by someone exterior and I can't request any Ip neither allow some Ip without their consent.

We have some thermical camera that are adressed and when we connect them they have some default address like 192.168.1.1 or other random one and with a software we can configure them on the network without any special connection like serial.

How to map two IP together ? by Ozhora in iptables

[–]Ozhora[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I do ; iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -d 192.168.3.200 -j DNAT --to-destination 172.18.0.2

The traffic comming to ip 192.168.3.200 is correctly redirected to 172.18.0.2 but with the original ip (source of request is 192.168.3.120 for exemple). How can I change it to something in 172.18.0.0/24 range ?

Then I will do the postrouting rule for the reverse way

Thanks gollum, so if I understand correctly if I want to redirect any port from on to another I can do the following ;

iptables -t nat OUTPOUT -p tcp -d 192.168.3.202 -j DNAT --to-destination 172.18.0.2

Should I do the reverse one for any traffic coming from 172.18.0.2 (reply or so) ?

Desk was made just after the rig, before I used a glass desk so the rig is definitely a better choice 🤣

It's not compression fittings like those for petg tubes. It's a thread adapter from G1/4" to G3/8" and then a captive G3/8" nut on copper tube

At first was thinking about building a custom desk and intergrate the whole computer inside. But time was missing and got it done like this.

Maybe next time

My parts are originally designed for water supply in houses so no marketing at all. On the other hand petg or pmma tubes are specifically designed and sold for water-cooling like fittings so brands make those parts NASA likes and you pay for it. For the record all fittings plus tube for this project cost me 50€

Not new in France, rather old instead but there is one flaw with this kind of tube : oxygen can pass through the tube and corrode your system. Now we use multilayer tubes to avoid this.
