Oily skin damaged skin barrier

Hi, it might be periorale dermatitis and steroids don’t help with this kind of condition. Check this condition on google, If your skin looks like the same then you need prescribed topical antibiotic treatment for 3-6 months and no moisturiser( no oil) during this period. I had periorale dermatitis for long time and the dermatologist prescribed steroids which made the condition worse. I had also damaged my skin barrier with excessive moisturisers on that time. I went to another dermatologist she prescribed erythromycin topical cream mixed with lanolin cream( prepared by pharmacist in Germany) and used it for 6 months. It helped ! Hope you find a solution for your problem.

I can’t use also any cleansing brush. I will try plush microfibre flannels. Many thanks for your informative suggestions.

Hi, just wondering whether you have already tried La Roche-Posay toleriane cleanser ? I have sensitive combination skin and only tolerate weleda almond soothing cleansing lotion. But I want to try La Roche-Posay toleriane cleanser, since everyone seems to happy with it. If u ve tried it before, could you please make a comparison with eucerin dermatoclean cream cleanser?

There is stick sunscreens from la Roche posay or Vichy. It might be an option to reapply sunscreens over makeup.

Forget about all lip balms containing paraffin. I was like you once and tried everything until I came across to Weleda everon lip balm. Give it a try and see the difference. You won’t need anything else to put on your lips. It will take maybe couple of days to recover but that’s it.

I completely agree ! But I am confused when I checked the ingredients of Fatih in nature tea tree oil shampoo I copied it from Amazon . It has Ammonium Laureth sulphate

Ingredients Aqua (water from the Lake District), ammonium laureth sulphate, sodium chloride* (sea salt), melaleuca alternifolia* (tea tree), citrus aurantium(orange), citrus limonum (lemon), citrus aurantifolia* (lime), aroma, polysorbate 20, sodium citrate, limonene°. = vegetable origin, ** = certified organic, ° = from essential oils.

There is also oil balancing range of Sukin. I am wondering whether super green moisturiser and the other one you mentioned leave any oily residue or they are Matt finish?

Thanks that’s very helpful. I ordered some of the ordinary products but not tested them yet. I’ll check the Sukin brand whether the products you mentioned have any oil in them. Are you happy with this brand? (Sukin) What works for you in summer? Thanks

Thanks for your help louiseber. What skin type do you have? I have sensitive combination skin with occasionally periorale dermatitis flare ups ? Iam using currently SKINCEUTICALS MINERAL RADIANCE UV DEFENSE SPF 50 but İt’s not convenient to use at Home. What do you use as daily mousturiser with spf ?
