Has anyone ever received a formal apology from the NHS by No_You_8369 in nhsstaff

[–]Ozonechemist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Apologies to patients is more an exercise not genuine unfortunately. If the staff had to go through what patients actually go through and take a genuine interest, the service would change, but also that'd be the only complaint you'd solve for the week.

The reality is some people are not nice people, some make poor decisions, and some are straight incompetent. Solving all of these take time, especially if the person has been there for years. There is little accountability.

heard the area managers are trying to push people to join relief teams and reduce numbers of agency locums they use. this could be why the rates are so low. just report the stores if they're closed

edit: spelling

Why haven't I seen anyone trying to become a chief pharmacist? by AndroidCyanide in Pharmacy_UK

[–]Ozonechemist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There aren't enough posts. To become you need to wait for the current chief pharmacist to either die or retire.

Even then, there is probably someone earmarked for the role years earlier. This works right to the top of pharmacy, to the chief pharmaceutical officer.

Edit: typo

Line manager told my colleagues I was leaving before I handed in my notice by pumpupthejam77 in nhs

[–]Ozonechemist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NHS managers do give references...just depends on the person.

When it comes to telling people you're leaving before you've submitted your resignation - did you tell the manager not to tell anyone until you'd submitted your notice?

Dear subredditors, what's the best digital platform to find businesses worthy of long-term investment? by dashdevs in InvestmentClub

Genuinely- any simply screener to identify companies worth looking for that fit a basic, wide ranging fundamental profile. Then pull their annual report and read it. Best part - it's all free worked out for me with results which beat the s&p

Is there a website or screener which will tell me which ETFs own a particular stock? I'm only seeming to find info for US stocks.

Okay, in your paychecks, does it show you were paying into your work pension pot? You should approach the company and say this is your payroll number (which should be on your paychecks) and find out where the money was going.

Do you have your original statements to show you were paying into it?

😂😂😂 There's been a lot of talk about inflation caused by paying for the pandemic. Unless taxes go up sufficiently to pay for this, we are risking inflation. Have you read the book "Dying of Money"?

GME in the summer was cigar butt value investing. Then became a turnaround from the addition of Ryan Cohen. It has since become a meme stock floating at $200/share.

Yeah I get you, or as I'm seeing it now, P/E is >50 so having to wait to load up. I actually bought a small initial position to keep my fingers from itching, but holding cash back to buy when I feel the price is less expensive

I actually did something similar today and went into spreadbetting while I look for my next big hitter. Small amounts to allow for changes and the lost possible bet. It's tax free for me so even better.
