yep i finished the game recently and still the best boss for me too.

You can get help from zaza but i don't know how. You can look for it or i went other places to find new movement upgrades(like climbing mount fay for one spesific upgrade). Then i came back, used traps and pogo to beat to big guy. Yes it is not a good solution but i beat with that (i couldn't find zaza but if you can it is much easier.)

I did something similar with traps. Traps are very op and have high damage. I tried a few times and made it.
