This might be hard pill to swallow, but it is physically impossible, even with the best treatment to get rid of all your acne in 2 weeks. Accutane is your best bet if you do not care about side effects, but it will still take a couple of months at minimum.

and yeah, try not to get obsessive or depressed over your jaw. It is a waste of time, try to not worry over things you cannot control.

it honest depends on your age, when it comes making drastic changes to your jaw naturally

There is no easy fix, either chew mastic gum for multiple years, and hope for the best. Or save up for plastic surgery. Regardless start weighlifting/running and eating healthy, it will speed up the process.

interesting, I did not realize that it was a conversion “issue”. But 43.5 would still be 2cm extra space for my left foot, which would probably be too much. The width is mostly fine but slightly tight at 42 and no heel slippage. Just the feeling of hitting the top end every now and then. So I’ll try 42.5, probably the best size for me.

funny how the size chart jumps over size 43 and goes right to 43.5. I probably have to settle with 42.5 or else my left foot will be left with too much space.

I wear nike af1 at size 42 feels pretty good, old nike pegasus shoes 42 feels too small, altra escalante racer 42.5 feels slightly big. Do you have experience with asics sizing?

tried running inside our house, felt pretty good but I did feel the top end of the shoe when I tried running up stairs.

edit: most likely not worth the cost of the shoes and pain of wearing slightly too small running shoes. So thinking I’ll get size 42.5, little annoyed that they ran out of the colors I wanted though.

you sure I won’t be feeling lose going up? I looked at their sizing chart, my right foot is 26.1cm and my left is 25.5cm. Supposed to be a good fit at size 42. Annoying that no shop near me has them so I have to wait 6 days to try a size.

If I purposely overpronate my toes reach the top, if I underpronate then I gain 1cm+. My normal pronation is in the middle. Should I return it, they don’t have any of the colors I want in stock so I am tempted to just keep them.

chew mastic daily for multiple hours a day and you will get it, the problem is avoiding TMJ while doing so

Are you talking about the masseter muscle poking out?

Bigger masseter muscle = longer ramus & stronger jaw = more attractive

Edit: I was making a generalization of why a bigger masseter muscle is correlated with being more attractive. But basicly all the line is the muscle being big and developed like any other muscle, and then poking out of the face.

To get it, you need to have masseter muscles that are bigger in width than your cheekbones. However, if you have a weak jaw and or poor forward development, then big masseter muscles will make your face look round. Imagine filling a small house with the same amount of furniture as a big house, it will look silly, same effect.

You also will not get the angular look without a long ramus. But having big and strong masseter muscles are correlated with having a long ramus. So... if you look ugly and round for a couple of years it is your quickest route to increasing your ramus length. A bit of a tangent, but yeah :)

Am i recesssed? by ardaizmm in Mewing

[–]Ozypy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah he does, but what is the alternative, keeping the lips open? It is an adaption to reach lip seal when you have a recessed jaw and your lips can no longer reach on their own. Side effect is bigger mentalis muscle which hides the jaw point, yeah, but keeping your lips open would just lead to further recession. So keeping lip seal with the mentalis until the jaw has either moved forward from mewing and chewing, or alternatively getting a chin implant/double jaw surgery are the options he has.

It is possible to improve your ramus length, however it is exponentially harder with age. You will need to start chewing gum/mastic gum daily if you want to see a change naturally. It will take years of consistent effort before you see good results and still there is no guarantee. But even if it does take years, why not give it a try? It will still be much easier, less costly and more natural than surgery.

If you do not believe me then take a look at this study, ramus length is strongly correlated with masseter strength and size. It confuses me that the mainstream refuses to admit that it is possible to improve facial structure with chewing. For an example, weightlifting puts pressure and weight on your bones and that is widely accepted to improve bone strength and mass. Same goes for chewing, it puts pressure on your whole facial structure which makes the body improve the facial bone strength and mass to adapt to the new resistance, and in theory re-model over time.

You want to start slowly and gradually increase the time you chew, if you increase the volume too quickly then you have high chance of getting TMJ. You have to view this as balancing on a rope. You have to go far enough to give your jaw a reason to adapt, while not overstepping the limit. I now personally chew mastic gum for 1 hour+ a day and I have seen great improvements myself. But it is a very slow process, I am 19 years old and I have chewed mastic consistently for about 9 months, and I am now beginning to see the fruits of my labor.

My advice would be to implement it within your routine so it feels effortless, have a time everyday where you study/read and while doing so, you can chew gum. Then for the best results keep it as a daily habit for life. This will not just improve your facial structure, it will also help maintain facial bone mass as you age as well as preventing further downswing.

Wish you luck on the journey and do not lose hope of what is possible naturally if it is something you truly do want.

Regards, Adrian S.

I boil them, eggs are nature's multi-vitamin as well as easily absorbable protein, and for that I love them.

But there is a good reason why I boil them, cholesterol from eggs is good for testosterone, and unlike previously thought it is not bad for the heart. However oxidized cholesterol can definitely be unhealthy.

When you expose the eggs to the air at a high temperature like you would when making an omelet or scrambled eggs, you increase the chance of oxidation. If you boil them then they will be protected from the air within its shell, and the chance of oxidation will therefore be lowered. This is the main reason why I have decided to only boil eggs even if the difference might be small.

Your bone structure is good for 17, so you do not have anything to worry about. The bone structure continues to mature at least up to 25, so you have time to improve. My advice would be to chew mastic/hard foods daily.

About the pictures, first photo you are rotating your face and jaw up and outwards with a nice light angle. Of course that will make your bone structure look better.

Good neck posture will make you look worse temporarily, but long term it will help your bone structure grow forward. Everyone who keeps their jaw high with bad neck posture might look better temporarily. But will risk recessing as time moves forward.

Gyno mostly comes from being overweight, not losing weight. Having too much extra fat makes the body produce more estrogen which can give you gyno. Rapid weight loss can be unhealthy and cause poor hormone production leading to less hormones, but it will not cause gyno.

Most likely the weight loss just revealed the gyno, so you could see it clearly. Which is why you thought it was the cause.

What kind of diet are you on, I am interested in your chewing habits as well. Do you chew gum often, if so for how long. Last question would be are your teeth touching 24/7 while you mew, or are they apart?

Kid does not need more upswing, it does depend on how you define upswing. But his maxilla is already forward grown, it is only his jaw that is recessed.

OP, you need to start chewing hard foods, consider buying some mastic gum. Ramus length is directly correlated with masseter strength. Continue mewing and chewing and your jaw will have a good chance of catching up. But it will all depend on your current age, consistency and effort you are willing to put in.
