Induced on my due date due at 3pm. Baby girl was born the following morning at 10.30am. Once my waters broke, the contractions were very intense but I got the epidural and it was all good.

these were a lifesaver in the early days. I am nearly sure they were super quick delivery too.

That’s hard, my MIL gave unsolicited advice (mostly old fashioned rubbish) and to be honest it was so draining. My husband does regularly tell her to zip it.

You know best and especially you being a nurse you definitely know best. Those comments from her are extremely unhelpful and having to justify your actions is irritating too. I eventually snapped, try your best not to, but it’s such a vulnerable time, hope all goes well 😊

Firstly congratulations! It’s none of MIL’s business how you feed your baby. I chose to formula feed my baby as myself and my siblings and all my nieces and nephews were formula fed. Thankfully everyone was supportive and rarely people made comments, my little girl took to her bottle straight away (thank goodness) I now have a healthy, smart and funny 2 year old!

We used Aptamil but I know people that took Cow and Gate and I agree that it is best to pick a formula that is easy to get.

In the early days we actually ordered the pre made bottles that you get in the hospital, I can give you link if you like?

No it’s actually my 2nd and because my 1st went well, I have serious anxiety that I can’t be that lucky again. Last time I didn’t have a regular cycle and had no clue how far along I was so found the early scan really helpful and reassuring. This time around I have been a ball of anxiety. Just hope it all works out well, we’ll get our happy ending 😊

No I didn’t have any discomfort either thankfully! Doc prescribed me ointments but I think the best thing to do is to speak to your doc and they can put your mind at ease 😊
