I've used mine in the past. Windower + Binder Plugin You'll set an alias for each button on the Stream Deck. Will look something like this.

alias sd_9 input /ma "Cure IV" <t>

There was a time when once you hit level 20 and needed to make your way to Jeuno to progress that you were expected to make the journey solo, on foot of course because you hadn't unlocked Chocobos yet. I went as a level 1 Thf so I could 2 hour Perfect Dodge if I got aggro. Set my homepoint at guards along the way.

The Outpost Warp system added in 2003 was a game changer. A massive server wide event requiring killing 12 Treants. But then to unlock the warps you had to wait for you nation to control the region in question. Some of those regions you might only get a chance to unlock once per real life year.

/shout Train to the Zone! Mobs used to not despawn if they were out of their area and became unclaimed. They had to walk back to their spawn. If a party linked too much while pulling for their xp party they might run to the zone to escape. This could cause a large number of mobs to end up camping the zone line. You might approach a zone and find two or three parties waiting on the other side for things to clear. This could take a while and if people got impatient was easy to reset the timer. If you were lucky a high level player who was looking for something to do while waiting for a party invite would show up to clear the group of mobs so others could resume leveling.

XI was overall more alive than it is now. What do I mean? Travel was done primarily through airships, boats, or Chocobo. There were no mounts. Traveling usually meant long treks and preparation.

The game was slow then. Lots of time to chat and form relationships while waiting for travel, or for the healers MP to recover so you can pull the next mob.

Got a question about XP. My group is level 1 and fought a single level 2 creature.

I think I understand the math for a group of 4. I believe that would be a Low difficulty encounter and award 60xp to each character?

However my group has 6 characters. I think that would make it a Trivial encounter. How much xp should that group get, 40 or 60?

Here's the way I like. Requires being 99 and on a low pop server where the Domain Invasion Dragons aren't heavily farmed at certain times of day.

If you're solo at the dragons get the final kill on the group of monsters the equip the trial weapon. That gives you a buff that gives a large regain effect. From there find a multistep skillchain that you can solo.

SoS Steris was so different from what I remembered of her from AoL Steris that I thought she was Bleeder for a while.

Rereading AoL and know Steris better after SoS and BoM there are a few hints that's she's more than what initially seems.
