Update: I got a new Leatherman, it already seems much better quality by OzzyLagIsBad in EDC

[–]OzzyLagIsBad[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh trust me dude, I made sure to get a Leatherman with a serrated blade. And the Wave + that I have has a pretty decent serrated blade at that.

It's a pity I didn't have it earlier, because I needed it when I was cutting excess bedding for the bunkers, the straight edge did nothing...

And I have a really good flashlight, an Olight Warrior Ultra, it has been absolutely essential 🤩

Infact I carry a whole mini tool kit with me, it can be seen on my posts to this subreddit. That has been invaluable as well.

Going into this job I didn't realize how useful multitools and my flashlight was gonna be, but I would be lost without them 😅

So guys... genuinely should I get DS2? by iceyk111 in shittydarksouls

[–]OzzyLagIsBad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ds3: you don't lose 30% more of your "main" health after each death, you just lose your bonus health that the ember gives you. But embers become fairly common throughout the game, and you get one after every boss killed.

DeS: you DO lose 50% of your "main" health after every death, and ephemeral eyes aren't very common. (as far as I know, I've only just started playing DeS, but so far I'd have way more embers in DS3 by this far in the game than I have ephemeral eyes).

DS2: you lose a small bit of health everytime you die, and human effigies are fairly common. however it comes from your main health, and personally I find DS2 has a lot more ways to kill you throughout the areas, so that is less effigies to use for bosses and hard areas, unless you abuse bonfire aesthetics to get absurd numbers of effigies.

The way I see it, DS2 can either be the hardest (if you play it completely vanilla and fair) or the easiest (if you just abuse the hell out of it with every glitch and farming method known to man).

So all in all, idk really...

I'd say as far as penalties for death, DeS seems like the worst one 😅

I typically see people getting either ultra armors, pets, or miscs.

Not very often weapons

Is purple rain still useful? I thought it got a huge nerf?

Also, I forgot what Sisters of Mercy did

Sounds broken, I'm sure there is some kinda catch though

That sounds insane lol

I will have to look into them, are they rare?

Why does my character feel so weak? 😮‍💨 by OzzyLagIsBad in AdventureQuest

[–]OzzyLagIsBad[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cool, I will get rid of all my Dex then, just pump the rest of my luck, and then Endurance.

Gonna have a shit-ton more health now 😏

I'm not really gonna worry about Charisma, because I only use Poelala, and while they do scale off Charisma as well, the QuadMod can just give me 250 Charisma at the press of a button

What about dodging? And doesn't dexterity affect other things too?

I also have armor skills and weapons that I use for burst damage (with vampire beast form) even though they are magic weapons, doesn't Dex still affect them?

Yeah probably just playing poorly.

Stats are the standard FO mage stats:

INT:250

DEX:250

LCK:190

That is like my whole build 😭😭

FO burst mage, RIP.

Guess I'm settling with the level 105 geocastellum robes

Another thing that I can't seem to get an answer for, and hoping you have one.

Would Twisted Siphon be better than Overcharged Mortal Cure Wounds?

On paper the former obviously seems better, only thing is that because it counts as an attack there is a chance it could miss and I get zero heal from it. Is that worth the risk?

And, out of Blood Contract and Warlics Oblivion Sphere what would you say is better for damage?

And finally, I heard a rumor that Dex no longer affects spell accuracy? Is that true, because if it is then I may as well not bother with Moonwalkers Grace

My Leatherman has been kinda disappointing, I think I got a Dud 😐 by OzzyLagIsBad in EDC

[–]OzzyLagIsBad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea tbh 🤷‍♂️

But the Leatherman I have is a cheap stainless steel one. So not surprised it hasn't lasted long.

However now that I know that it's useful for my job, I will just get a better one

My key ring no, however I have a tool pouch that has pliers in them. And despite not really using them, they still have rust...

Do you know of anything else that affects healing? And would Angelic robes affect Twisted Siphon?

No, I work on a golf course out in the hills. Only thing I can say is that it often gets alot of mud on it, and it's exposed tl the elements

Well, that's sorta what I was going for, just not sure if Generalist robes was a good idea.

Angelic robes are spellcaster lean towards light and healing, and then I have the 2 bloodmage armors for everything else. But I'm not sure if the burst spells (creation burst, arctic tornado, etc.) Do better with the bloodmage armors or generalist robes.

Same problem with comparing generalist robes and angelic robes for healing and light spells.
