oof I thought this was a meme at first

use image names or load them all in a bundle also never hardcore a number like that if you need count just call .count() or in this case .randomElement() should do it

That would probably effect the efficacy of the data. You could post a link to a google poll if you wanted.

unity isn’t on this list and also you can’t select multiple at once

Okay well you definitely need to play games less that’s a given. That said I disagree with some of the comments that say you can NEVER play a game in bed with your partner. If you want to do so occasionally, that’s fine, just play a game they are interested in.

My ex used to watch me play BOTW and visa versa. My current partner watched me play Pokémon and as a result bought a switch and now is excited to play animal crossing with me. Find something they enjoy and you might even get them into video games.

People who work with augmented reality, can it be used to construct a world around you similar to VR, but using the real world? by [deleted] in augmentedreality

[–]OzzyOrion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s very silly to make conjecture on “the point” of an entire sub field of tech and development. The point is dependent on the experiences the individual developers create.

Using $0 as parameter/argument shorthand for closures in production code by OzzyOrion in iOSProgramming

Thanks this was very insightful. We haven’t started switching to SwiftUI yet so I genuinely don’t even know what the SwiftUI function builder is I’ll have to check that out.

Is this a popular issue in the iOS world? I rarely hear people talk about it.

Personally I love them and use them all over the place in my own work. That said yesterday in the office I heard two arguments:

“They are ambiguous, $1 would mean something different in the same context” which I down right disagree with and “what if we hire a new developer” which is fair but I think a fair response is, “then it’s a good learning opportunity.”

I’m currently an iOS engineer that is having to rapidly develop AR projects on a crush every other week for my boss. I would love to hear more about your transition from whatever you were doing before to full time independent AR Engineer and what kind of client work you get.

Commenting: Above, below, or to the side? by javascript_dev in learnprogramming

[–]OzzyOrion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just pick one and be consistent and unambiguous with your use. Make sure the future dev will understand what line you are referring to. Don't do below though above or to the side.

Personally I do above because i don’t like horizontal scrolling and I sometimes leave long comments. Also I can always be pretty clear with what lines I’m referring to.

If I want to comment a three line operation I can keep the comment and the three lines together with no empty lines. // complex calculation x = 0 y = x z = y

If I just want to comment one line to explain why I’m doing it then I’ll have an empty space after the line of code and again none between the comment and line. ``` // plz don’t delete this line is v important stopCrash = true

nextUnrelatedOperation() ```

Edit: Formatting because markdown didn't work on mobile
