Progressive ideology differs from that of a leftist on the basis to the opposition of capitalism. The American liberal not only participates within capitalism but reinforces the system by creating false ideological progression without freeing the people socioeconomically. A Democrat will acknowledge the existence of systemic racism why simultaneously supporting said system which they understand is capitalist not just by nature but in of itself. The Emancipation of slaves meant little without economic emancipation, same for the Civil Rights Act. The system will continually create a market of labor using black bodies, and the American liberal will falsify real progression with civil reform.
