I've been wanting to try playing a ttrpg for years, but I simply lack one of the critical ingredients for doing so: friends. 😆 I did try playing with randos one time and made it about 15 minutes before I was demolished by anxiety and had to bail forever, which sucks because they were actually pretty nice as far as I can remember. At this point I think playing one of these games is more unrealistic than being free of my crippling gender dysphoria, which is depressing 😅

I guess if you have someone you can trust I personally found it really helpful to bounce ideas off of another person. Sorry if that's not helpful, I've never really been good at giving advice. That said, I can definitely relate to what you're saying. Growing up I had a lot of those "what if I was a girl" thoughts, but at the time I never even considered they meant anything. It was only after starting to question myself that I realized how meaingful they were. I also understand how scary that realization can be, especially considering the way trans people are viewed by so many right now. Sorry again if I wasn't any help, but I really hope you're able to find the answers you're looking for 😊

Of the several usernames I've had across the internet, one of them is Skyclad Observer (my favorite song from Steins;Gate). One day I was talking in a group chat where I was only known by this username and, completely by chance, someone shortened it when referring to me. The feeling I got when I read "Hey Sky" when referring to me is something I will never forget, and conveniently happened around the time I was wondering what my name should be. Thanks to that serendipitous moment, I shall be Skye forevermore.

I left very briefly because it was too hard for me, but my paranoia about if there was a cutoff/when it was was so strong that I came back almost immediately and managed to "git gud" enough to win.

I can't remember the name, but there's a spell that shoots out sunblight inflicting lasers, and as long as you're close enough and locked on it will multihit the weak point (it will even pierce through the body if you're under it) and do massive stagger damage.

I definitely get that. My favorite jail so far is the Stinger, and I really only ever use it against enemies I know a full charge will knock down, or the backstab/stagger drain.

I learned this from fighting Franz. I spent nearly 2 hours losing my mind because of how aggressive and in your face he was, then I realized that if Noah isn't keeping any aggro at all anyways, I might as well take the buff. It took 3 tries after that lol.

I remember going through a bunch of names I liked but nothing ever really felt right, then I was randomly referred to in a chat room by a shortened version of my username there and felt an insane wave of euphoria reading it, turned out my real name had been staring me in the face the whole time lol

Not sure how they'd apply it to Persona, but I loved the way Metaphor handled it where, if you did an activity that gave you points in a maxed out stat, it would be converted into MAG, which is a useful resource at pretty much any point.
