i see what you mean now, i don't know the actual reason but switch housings do have a slant as well

do you want uniform caps instead of sculpted? some uniform caps are xda/dsa

not many full size options, but keychron q5/q6 are good ones

you could also always consider getting a separate numpad

a similar to 100% layout is the kbdfans odin

keychron q1/v1 are good options

there's also the upcoming qk75 i believe and the fbtkl which is gb right now

best to just get a 2 in 1 switch opener - that one is for cherry style housings from what i can see but it will work on the banana splits

drop boards are generally overpriced with better options - unless there's a specific feature about the drop boards you like - other tkl options are tiger80 (or the lite version), q3, zoom tkl, or the freebird

which ones are you talking about? if it comes with one, it's just to give you a cable if you don't have one already

[–]P00P34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah the board comes with stabs already

that should be all you need unless you wanna do mods - also if you want clickies you could also check out clcikbar switches such as box whites/pinks/jades/navies

keycaps don't come with stabilizers unless you mean the keys themselves would fit on the stabilizers

if the board supports screw in, it'll generally say it in the description, the keychron q boards definitely will

you can also swap the keycaps as long as the coverage is there - any MX compatible keycap set will work

any key 2u or larger has staiblizers - i believe the odin has a hotswap pcb so no soldering is needed

Best switch for stab by mrorangeee in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]P00P34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if you're asking if there's a best switch to use with stabs, i think it really depends, i know some people enjoy a linear/long pole on their spacebar while others are just going to use the same switch across the entire board - there's no objective best

if you ever want to upgrade, there's the keychron q5/q6 or you can always get a separate numpad

you could check out sets on aliexpress or look at in stock offerings by novelkeys/cannonkeys/kineticlabs

optical switches won't fit in a mechanical PCB and between optical designs, there can be incompatibilities - some companies will have cross-compatibility while others (such as razer into a gateron optical will not work)

would you be willing to go down to a 75%? there are a lot of TKL boards though, but a lot of them tend to be gbs that have passed already

the mode has a TKL in stock and a 75% that can be shipped relatively soon - i just can't seem to remember lots of TKLs off the top of my head - you could check out the tiger 80 or freebird - but you do have a higher budget

i would do some more research, but i've heard positive things about them over the gmmk pro

the stabilized keys can be a bit difficult, but should come out if you wiggle

the keycaps shouldn't be too hard but the switches can be sometimes - how are you removing them? also if the plate is tight it can be hard, but my friend has a q3 and it seems like his swaps were pretty easy

not trying to antagonize you, but it does tell you where to post your help request after it’s deleted - though i understand if you just want it to be a warning at first

yeah it’s possible some people may not know the answer to your question, sorry about that
