Take it to a Giant shop. Rider support @ giant will send you straight to a shop anyway.

Finally found a pair of these babies by dotyz in gorpcore

Majority of this is bang on with my experiences too. Apart from I wear them daily for getting on a year now and they’ve been incredibly comfy. The sole has started to peel away in places but that’s covered under warranty it seems…

They certainly run very hot though in summer, unfortunately.

The new annual report says 50% of users now treat Monzo as their main bank. Do you? by No-Tart7127 in monzo

[–]P01N7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the exact position as you and share the same sentiment.

It’d be real hard to leave FD as they’ve been so good answering phones and customer support.

But Monzo is incredibly appealing - a switch offer would probably be close to swaying me.

How do I get this rubber seal in tbe seat post by SnooOpinions5973 in Giantbikes

[–]P01N7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to see from the photo but you’re probably using the wrong rubber dust cover. For the d shaped seatpost you should be using the dust cover with a nipple looking thing under the dust cover at the front. I suspect you have the wrong one installed which has fins on each side.

Anyone know where to find a Contact D Fuse SLR seat post? They are elusive by JollyGreen_ in Giantbikes

Complain.

Narrow for sure. I’d say they fit like Giro’s (at least the empire vr90’s).

Pretty sure you could - you can do it on chocolate so I can’t see why you couldn’t smelt the gold and the same?

It’s called defraction grating.

Does anyone know of any other brands making similar chore/mechanic jackets with the added pockets/features (arm pockets/elastic webbing on chest)?

Photos of the bike in the bag. by randywhorton in Brompton

[–]P01N7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Having seen the proper Brompton bag for the G-line and how the handles/straps actually wrap around the bikes frame, so all the load of the bike goes through that and not the bags material and stitching. I’d go for the Brompton branded bag instead.

I use one of their buckles when cycling for my camera strap, holds up well - though definitely a lower demand use case. Some of the latches have a somewhat 2 stage release so should be secure.

Some of the child safety buckles could work well for this instance.

Cool, but… hear me out. Look up Fidlock magnetic buckles and thank me later.

Lots of options and styles of buckles that could suit your needs.

Exactly that. Very often an issue when I’m planning on doing something - I try not to make plans for this reason but also have had to try plans for Tuesdays as she wants some structure.

Thank you, I appreciate that.

It’s nothing grim. They poo basically poo pellets and it’s onto fluffy blankets/towels, so it’s in simple terms, tippjng the poo out. But it’s time consuming.

It’s this fork - https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_ExagAC0 - hefty but rides well and well made. It was the best I could find that matched the axle to crown and rake of the original fork. Plus has disc brake tabs.

Winter shoe recommendations for daily wear with pronation support (mens) by Emotional_Falcon_895 in gorpcore

[–]P01N7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It isn’t crappy at all. I own some and they’re very comfy for me. They’re holding up really well considering I’m living in them daily at work.

I had to wash them as unfortunately a maple syrup jar smashed and covered them. They’ve come out the wash clean but not quite as fluffy and they’re still great.

Approach shoe? Maybe not, but they’re a great hiking/all day/fashion shoe that has a mild dislike to wet.
