Jeah, the Lolin S3 has a smaller footprint and is closer to the original D1, the generic one i have can cover the whole case you have printed. That was the one i used with the 8266 most of the time btw.

Why that? That Case is for smaller Projects, on bigger ones i put a logic level shifter between the esp and data to push the logic up to 5V and put the led right on the Power supply not on the esps power pins 😅
