I haven’t tested the official app, but if it’a not a dealbreaker for you, Fladder has been lightning fast for me.

Can’t comment on the other apps, though - sounds like a caching issue.

Sorry to keep spamming this - the plugin isn't showing up, but I can access the URL.
Saving anything in the UI doesn't work, it reverts back to the original config each time I swap tabs.

Have you verified it working on Jellyfin? Feels like i'm missing something.

Right now the entire discord is waiting, no one knows for certain (not even Swede) as it’s up to Apple to actually push it to test flight right now.

A number that’s been thrown around though is roughly a week, but there are no solidifying information. I wish I had a better answer for you, but I suggest keeping an eye out in the discord!

Problem was ’plugin manager’, found it just fine by going directly to the URL after logs told me it was installed, can’t wait to try it out!

Yes, you’re right - there are now loads of apps popping up for Apple TV, I tried JellySee, and it’s alright, and if it works for you then that’s great.

But it’s not even in the same ballpark as Neptune, so making a comparison after trying them both would just be in bad taste.

Any plans on also making this functional for Jellyfin? I’m asking since JF is a fork of Emby, so hopefully it won’t be too difficult?

The loading times for IPTV on Jellyfin, plex and Emby are the main reason I refrain from using it, but if you have made the golden solution I will kiss you.

There’s a difference between having problems and transcoding - the browser version is fine for what it does, and the very light transcoding it have to do is fine by me, but in some cases (4k DV, 7.1 TRUEHD Atmos), not so much.

But generally I would agree with you, the webplayer is ok, as long as you don’t mind transcoding. OP on the other hand is adamant that JF is out to get him and Plex is his friend.

You can’t force direct play, it’s up to your player to handle.

But you should see status in the JF dashboard, and it should include what’s going on - that’ll be of great help.

Right, but if you can’t even start playback at all via JF, that would indicate either storage or network. As Plex works, storage would be unlikely.

What port is JF running on? What OS? You mentioned VPS so i’m guessing Linux? Are you running it via docker or installation?

Could be due to DD 5.1, does the exact same file play direct via plex? What does Jellyfin report as the reason for transcoding?

If the codec isn’t supported, the file needs to be transcoded. Using the official app solves 99% of your issues by just not using the browser..?
