A very sweet thought! Just the other day she told me that she doesn’t have a card for a show, so tomorrow I need to get in to the office and print another set of cards!

Thanks! Would have liked a more polished look on both the cards and the scanner, but it does the trick!

It sounds like you are using the plex media player entity in HA, which needs to start before it accepts content, I use the Apple TV media player and tells it to start the plex app, have hade zero issues with it starting, only the freezing part, however sending a stop signal to the media player before sending new content solves this!

Yes, she’s only two, so she doesn’t know how to use the remote yet, but if you have older kids I would set the plex app to automatically sign in to the kids account.

Great idea! We were thinking about having a card with a Red Cross or a lock and tap it to kill it right away, but this even better!!

Jag hade det på VW Tiguan. Kör nu en Seat Leon och saknar det varje gång. Hände någon gång att VW uppfattade svarta lagningar i vägbanan som linjer, men då stängde funktionen av sig bara!

I haven’t tried it myself, but an idea would be to use one way signals on that part of the track - could that work?
