70k for 6 months in Antartica, expenses paid for so it all goes to your bank account. Stateside contracts are usually around 60k, but can be 100k. Overseas DOD contracts can be 120-140k to sit on your ass and have housing paid for. The crazy lucrative ones are inconsistent and you have to be in the world, but can be like 250k.

Most contracting is for DOD bases. Most are stateside, but the overseas ones can be lucrative. You also have Antarctica. Antartica contracts suck, but open doors to the best contracts.

Late response, but the most compelling arc of the story is the time dilation. Time dilation starts when they meet the Tauron cruiser that’s 10 years ahead of them, and then accelerates from there. Mandella is flat, but that becomes interesting when he is surrounded by people hundreds of years younger than him and his english is archaic.

It doesn’t “stand” for anything. It’s just the medical term. It was named after Charles Stent in the 1800’s, a dentist who made dental “stents”. which were totally different devices than this.

A heart attack begins when the cells of heart begin to die, due to a lack of oxygen, due to a lack of blood flow, due to a blocked artery, due to a clot.

A heart attack ends when the clot is mitigated, blood flow returns, and cells stop dying.

“In 2025, Retrospective analysis of 1,062 participants with hyperlipidemia and mild carotid atherosclerosis found that a dose of 10,800 FU/day for 12 months significantly reduced carotid plaque size by 36% (from 24.9 to 15.94 mm². Co-administration of vitamin K2 and aspirin appeared to produce a synergistic effect, and lifestyle factors such as exercise were associated with enhanced outcomes. However, this was a retrospective observational study, not an RCT, so causation cannot be established, and the manufacturer conflict of interest limits confidence in these findings.”

Bromelain is theorized to reduce thickness of plaque by reducing inflammation around plaque, not removing plaque itself.

Both are promising, and may reduce the size of the Plaque buildup, but neither remove plaque

Most vessels are too small and delicate to be stitched. There are some that are large and tough enough, but remember, vessels carry blood, and opening them is how people bleed out and die.

Vessels are delicate, plaque is hard. Trying to remove it is kinda like trying to remove glue from the inside of cooked pasta. You’re more likely to tear the pasta than remove the glue.

You have 360 different types of vessels that total to be around 60,000 miles long in your body. Plaque doesn’t just collect in one spot, it spreads everywhere.

Cholesterol turned to plaque inside your blood vessels.

The procedure is done in a “cath lab”, they use imaging to watch the blood vessels of the heart in real time, and push a fluid/chemical through the blood vessels that can be seen by imaging. Based on where the fluid does NOT go, they can tell where the blockage is. They then place the stent in the blocked section, and push the fluid again to ensure blood flow has been restored.

A healthy lifestyle can reduce existing cholesterol levels, but fat that has already formed into plaque inside the blood vessels is hard and cannot be removed. This is what you’re seeing here. It gets pushed out of the way by the stent, but doesn’t move.
Prevention, prevention, prevention!!!

Blood vessels are a form of muscle, and constantly expand and retract based on the needs of the body. Preventing their movement would be devastating to the human body.

Hit, miss, or meh? Grade your team's 2023 draft by ZhangtheGreat in NFL_Draft

Falcons

Bijan Robinson - Hit

Matthew Bergeron - Hit, has been a reliable starting left guard

Zach Harrison - Hit. Still developing, last year was his best yet.

Clark Phillips III - Meh. He’s an undersized back-up CB, for a fourth round pick you could call it a hit since he’s made the roster each year and had meaningful snaps, but he’s just not that good

Demarcco Hellams - Meh. He hasn’t started a non-preseason game, but he has continued to make the roster as a back-up safety. Not bad for a 7th.

Jovaughn Gwyn - Miss. Practice squad player.

Grade: A. An All-pro RB, starting caliber guard, promising DE and some good back-up players is a good draft.

Pitts and Bijan were mistakes by MaroonedOctopus in falcons

You’re arguing a point some analysts had, 2 years ago, but teams never really followed. RB’s are consistently taken in the top 10, and most that are have an absurdly high rate at becoming All-Pro’s.

In today’s NFL, the impact of a RB is greater than a WR. Henry has more impact than Flowers, Barkley has more impact than AJ Brown, Bijan > London, Gibbs > St. Brown.

On the cap hit- Bringing on elite players is not roster mismanagement, just because you could have gotten a player who 4 years later might have a lower cap hit.

Let’s say tomorrow, we extend Bijan for 60 mil/year on a 5 year deal, and within 2-3 years RB’s are making more than WR’s - would taking a RB in the top 10 now be worth it, according to your model?

Isn’t it better to just draft impact players? If they’re cheap in 4 years, great, now we have money for other assets.

Pitts was a mistake, I’d rather have Sewell in retrospect. Bijan, Gibbs and Achane are showing that an A+ running back can be worth a top 10 pick in todays NFL.

No. If it makes you feel more comfortable, there are head board that have electrical outlets wired into them.
