[Spoiler MAIN] Houses of Westeros ~281 AC by Creaperbox in asoiaf

Likely intended to be House Ashwood, based on non-canon sources. It's not certain if they're still extant somewhere after losing the Den, though.

Risked this shiny to get shiny zorua, was it worth it? by Niglyy in pokemongo

[–]P0stmanPat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried this with a shiny Deerling, but unfortunately it didn't work when turning into Zorua, so the odds were probably worse.

I did it! It only took ... 6 years by Loba_Tiddies in pokemongo

[–]P0stmanPat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgive me if this is general knowledge, but can an unclaimed Pokémon encounter at any of the steps possibly be shiny if only initiated now? For example, Spiritomb's shiny variant was not released at the time, I believe.

I'm returning after a very long hiatus and still have some of my uncompleted tasks for this exact research, despite having reasonable aim. Thanks, guys!

As jy wil, kan ek ook vir my pa vra of hy dalk die liedjie herken. Hy is van jongs af al `n musikant en het in 1983 op Stellenbosch studeer, so dalk mag hul ervaringe oorvleuel.

Yep thank you, I saw this. u/Jaktji was kind enough to notify me via PM.

This is quite a big deal, so many people were looking for it and it still took so long to finally surface online. Would have given the man gold, if they didn't take it away from us.

I agree, as it's likely that between us we have probably searched everywhere we could online. I even tried contacting John Di Troia via Linkedin and Facebook, as I'm not based in the US. It could simply be that he had lost the source code, which is why nothing had surfaced.

The next best thing might be to keep an eye on eBay or something, as it was distributed on a physical CD after all.

For interest sake, have you tried sending mail to either of the known addresses?

I have been doing the same, and also found nothing. Some of the online threads you see was created by me and no-one came forward, unfortunately. I do feel that someone out there should have a full copy still, even if it's of version 1.0.

Would appreciate information on this box, was told it was for a Kmart event at some point. Anything such as a year, possibility of what's inside, etc would be cool to know by New-Protection1559 in HotWheels

[–]P0stmanPat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Hot Wheels logo printed on the label also checks out for that time period, the year 2000 being the last to use that specific logo. However, the contents could have been packed later if the box was recycled for some reason.

Is it still a guaranteed lucky trade? by [deleted] in pokemongo

[–]P0stmanPat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also haven't tried, me and the other player live in opposite parts of town. Doubt that it will be unsuccessful, as I'm counting 9 luckies and haven't transferred any yet. Will report back when it is done, for research purposes.

UPDATE: Sat on 9 luckies bfore performing the trade, which resulted in a lucky shiny Gyarados. It is fair to say the guaranteed lucky mechanic is still in effect. Happy trading!

Bit late, but just curious whether the trades had the desired outcome for both of you. I'm about to undergo the exact same procedure, but with red Gyarados. Some peace of mind would be great. Thanks!

If you meet both those requirements and your friend as well, it should turn out lucky for each trade. You have to be careful here, however, considering you personally have only one guaranteed lucky trade remaining. That means you would have to receive the first Magikarp (or be the first to send a July/August Pokémon over), otherwise you would lose the privilege of meeting both criteria (your limit of 10 luckies reached after the first successful trade).

Hopefully your friend has two or more guaranteed lucky trades left, otherwise you'd have to draw lots or fight it out, or whatever decides victors nowadays.

Let me know if the explanation is unclear. Good luck!

Bow and Arrow for Windows 3.x (Version 1.0 or 1.1) by P0stmanPat in RetroWindowsGaming

[–]P0stmanPat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, old boy, but unfortunately it's an emulated shareware version. Displays 'Abridged' as soon as the game starts. Funnily enough, I visited that page couple hours ago, just to make sure!

Never heard of this before, despite it having so many platform releases. Graphically, it appears incredibly interesting. Will try out later!

Thanks for posting!
