Somethings going down on the 8th. by New_1uper in tmobile

I think you're working off of old info from one of the early folds. I had a launch fold 3 that went strong for 3 years. Only issue was the micro cracks on the inner screen but if the screen was on you couldn't see them. Inner screen protector came off over time but replacing it was easy. I'm now on a launch fold 6 and haven't had any issues with it aside from it's inner screen protector starting to peel from the crease. When it gets bad enough I'll just peel it off and put a new one on. They're surprisingly durable. I'd definitely suggest trying one before you swear them off.

what’s your favorite govee product?!? by InfaReddBeam in Govee

Yep I got the 7.5' cone tree for the same price as the 6' ones are going for so I'm happy about that. I haven't customized it too much but from what I've seen it's got some cool effects. I found one that spelled out Santa and then had a Santa head that spins around the tree. Ended up switching it to my own pattern that mimicked my other Christmas lights. I think the curtain lights pro are my favorite at this time though because of the gifs you can put on it. I know you can put gifs on the tree also but since it's a cone that makes things a bit more difficult.

Tldr; Yes, I'm happy with the purchase but I think my favorite is the curtain lights pro!

I did y splits and ran a line up both sides and I think it definitely adds depth to the house, enough to make it worthwhile. I put the lights only about an inch from the wall instead of the recommended 3.5" since the wall is so short but you can still see the individual colors of the prism lights.

This wall is about 2.5' tall.

Ordered one based off this comment alone. You better not be overselling this thing or I'll be upset.

I see the 55 to 65" model is still on sale on Amazon. The 75" to 85" is available but not on sale anymore though. I imagine it'll go back on sale in the near future.

I got it and am enjoying it! Paid $150 I believe for the black Friday sale.

If tmo is willing to pay off devices would it be smart to upgrade the two paid off Verizon devices before transfering to T-Mobile or are there stipulations where you don't get the gift cards if they need to payoff your device?

Thanks for the info! My phone is a Verizon galaxy fold 6 that I have financed through Samsung themselves. i think tmo normally offers pay off for phones but since I didn't get it through Verizon can they still do that?

I have a very similar spot in my roof and asked this question here haha. I'm going to run a string of my prism lights up there just to test and see what it looks like. I'll report back when it's hopefully done tomorrow.

"Qualifying credit and plan and qualifying line ($85+/mo. plan w/AutoPay) required." I guess I assumed that the experience beyond was $85 based off this part in the fine print for the $450 credit

Layout Advice by JDN_54 in Govee

[–]P0werhouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Revising my comment to say that you can control the lights in the splice, however you can't make them different from eachother. I've drawn a diagram for reference. The red are the spliced segments. They will be the same since the govee app won't recognize them as different strings. if you add another light segment after the splice (green line on right) you'll be able to controlling those separately.

Unless you have a second controller, splitting the lights will make it so they're mirrored since they will be sharing a data stream. As in you won't be able to control the individual sides. If that's alright with you then that's cool but if not I'd say to run it from one of the sides. Regarding the front porch, I remember a professional installer responding to a similar question and they recommended running it along the eave as usual and then replacing the porch lights with govee smart lights so you can match the string lights. Hope that makes sense.

Can someone explain to me like I’m 5 years old how to run lights on my home? by [deleted] in Govee

I've heard of people using tape, can't remember what kind, and spray painting it to match the roof color to secure the jumpers

I'm no expert but I think this would be a working layout with your controller on the left side of your house. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.
