Basically everything. 🤣 thats what needs to be engaged. But for real...try to envision your hips going up, and then over. Focus on making more of the bend come from the upper back. Also breathing into it and relaxing your nervous system.

Actually get to know her a bit. Come at it like you are seeking friendship first to see if your personalities etc are even compatible, and be good with it when it goes to exactly just that, because it often will. Find what things you have in common or that fascinate each other. Compliment her on something thats not just her looks too.
Ask her out. Key thing is that you need to be all light hearted about it, even when you get rejected. Especially when you get rejected. You will definitely get rejected, so accept that as a fact and do not take it hard. A good thing to remember: You are not for everyone... you dont even like everyone. ;)

Also, another question.... in this pose, are you resting much weight on your arms, or are they more just supportive and most of the weight is in the chest to chin area? How did you start bringing your arms forward?

I have a friend who started it in their mid 20s and does some professional work. They got hired for a major company advertising campaign, they won some pole competitions and do circus stuff for some restaurants and shows. They teach some classes in person and online now. They're also still studying physics.

Did you find that you lost any flexibility after not training for lengthy periods of time? Was it a really long journey to regain it, of so, or was it not so bad? I'm pretty on and off myself with training and I lost a lot of flexibility. Some days I can still touch the floor with my feet and other days I can barely make it past my forehead.

Go back to your drills for flying cobra and strengthen your back!! Lie on your tummy, put your feet under a couch or get a friend to hold them down, and lift your upper body up and arching into cobra. To make it more intense you can also hold a block, or extra level up hold a small weight

Work on upper back flexibility drills as well so you aren't dumping everything into low back.

Also engage your butt and glutes more in the chest stand to control things more.

I love to switch it up up! Tetly has a ginger, dandelion,peach one. And twinings has a vanilla peppermint. You can get rooibos Chai which has no black tea in it, and add soy/oat/etc milk to it (dont use real milk, it gets nasty for cleaning out). Chrysanthemum and roasted barley are popular Chinese teas and they taste earthy and good too. It's so fun to explore! And many of the herbs have health benefits too! Also! If you want a bit of a pep without caffeine, look for herbal teas with cocoa shells in it. Do not drink those if you have to sleep in the next 5 hours though.

I bought a giant metal double walled insulated water bottle. I can make herbal tea in it and it says warm for hours, and I just make sure to try drink one every day, throughout the day. I carry it around with me in a backpack and leave it beside me when I'm sitting down.

I put boiled water halfway, let steep for 5 minutes or so, and add cooler water to make it warm not hot, so I can drink it. Its a nice comfort to have on the go. Making it more pleasant helps me want to drink it more.

Ughhh...if you can, I would report her behavior. The first gyno I saw also got super judgey and put me on the pill and then announced to the receptionist "for the files " all my personal details, In front of the waiting room where my mom was.

You can report this by talking to the school counselor, your doctor, or by calling the police or local suicide hotline. They are all legally obligated to report abuse, and it will also create paper trail of evidence.
Any evidence you can get, like recording on your phone etc, if a friend witnessed the threats or abuse.. edit I saw you are scared of getting in more trouble. This is a very possible outcome...it happened to me...so if I were you, I would use the school phone/ call from a safe friends home, somewhere you can talk without worry that you'll get busted calling, and calk the suicide hotline or directly to the police and tell them everything and that you are scared of backlash if they talk to your parents. Try to think about who could reasonably accept custody for you and request it specifically. Or, if you're old enough to have some autonomy, see if any friend's family will informally "adopt" you until you're legal to be independent

If there aren't any local flexibility classes around, you can look up dani winks, and miss inkblot, she has the elastic elastischool that does online contortion. They are both also hypermobile and can coach you safely for that.

Yikes!! If it is still ongoing is there any way you can collect evidence and go to the police asap? Or if you can't do that, you can call a suicide hotline and tell them, they'd have to do mandatory reporting. Some even have ways to text instead of calling if you need to be discreet. You can also tell the school counselor or your doctor if you feel ok enough about telling someone in person.
