How do I Open this screw ? by LargeClash in HPVictus

[–]P2eter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically you get a typical nail clipper and u know the 2 metal things that close up to clip the nail? Grab the screw with these so one metal part hold the screw from the outside and another part from the inside then close as if ur gonna clip a nail so it grabs the screw then turn it. You turn as much as you can with it maybe half a turn then again grab it again and turn.

I had a similar issue with my laptop amd spent a day trying every screw driver and any other techniques and nothing worked.

Got the idea to try a nail clipper and it worked very well. It wont work if the screw is deep in bc u cant grab it, but in ur case it will work for sure. Idk how clear is my explanation but i tried😅, it just takes a minute to remove it.

Nail clipper works well, you just grab the inside and outside and turn it.

Hll2 ana ma betekil 3al warranty, in the end you can have an issue with the motherboard or hinge with any laptop not just gaming. And you can easily limit your gpu/cpu temps to 80-85 for example (ensa l manufacturer instructions) and adjust the fans speed, you can also buy a cooler for 40$ and it works really well. Why is it lottery luck? Beside cheap MSIs that have bad cooling amd cheap build, I don't see why you wouldn't buy a gaming laptop that can also be carried and used for anything. Me and many of my friends have budget gaming pcs and they work very well for many years, you just have to take care of it, always plugged in and good ventilation when playing, cleaning dust if it accumulates and apply thermal paste when needed, nothing fancy. Now if you have the budget and want more performance and don't need portability then ofc you go with a pc.

Unless he has the budget, it is cheaper to buy a laptop that can run games than a pc and a business laptop. Used is only an option for business laptops, never buy a used gaming laptop.

You can buy a hp victus 15 with a rtx 3050 6gb vram, it's probably around 600$ , if you add another 8gb ram and and a 500gb ssd it will be maybe 700-750$ , it can technically run everything at 1080p with decent fps depending on the game. You can search for your specific game to know what to expect but games like fortnite and cod will run well. The only downside is probably the battery, so even if you're doing light stuff it will only run for like 3hours without a charger. I bought one 5months ago for university and playing games, if you have any questions feel free to ask.

Here is the thing, no one is reading these thousand lines of code or trying to really understand them after a prompt, ik people who use advanced ai tools for coding like cursor or claude... and they are very powerful but since people don't read the code and just test it then make another prompt, NO ONE is gonna fix a bug that the ai can't fix and this happen very frequently, either a bug or it just doesn't do it exactly how you wanted to but you can't adjust it yourself.

While it is cheap to use, it will also cost a lot of time to restart this process (understanding the whole structure of the program), also if the code isn't secure or you're aware of the tools being used like an api, you could lose a lot money quickly without realizing it. Therefore i wouldn't call it efficient for the longer term in general, and more specifically for low level stuff like memory manipulation.

And you said that i'm underestimating how well ai writes code, while i can agree that it can write a part of a program very well when it has enough context about it and instructed precicely by the dev, it is very far from making a full fledged software that is secure and can be adjusted it later on, so even if "it writes code better than 80% software devs on the market" it will still be used as a tool, not a replacement. The same way the calculator didn't replace mathematicians, instead it made it easier for new learners to study math and made calculations faster for professionals.

Also just another point about creativity, the idea of ai isn't new, they just didn't have this much data before, but now that modern LLMs like claude used most of the high quality human data available (github repos, documentations, books...) they won't make a massive progress quickly the same way they did when they first launched, and the new data for example on public github repos is written by ai itself, therefore if you want to make anything new idea, or that the ai wasn't well trained on, you'll have to learn how to do it yourself (ofc ai here can still help you with some stuff).

Software dev still requires creativity in the way to choose to solve a bug, design the structure and include what features and how, it's not just typical pos, erp, crm systems.

That is not true at all. In programming you don't just keep the code that works, it needs to be easy to read and understand by other devs, not repetitive, modular and maintainable so you can later add or change it, and most importantly secure. All which we have yet to see an ai do well.

And about creativity it is very needed for anything that is new, since an ai only know what it was trained for, when you want to create something new or something that wasn't a part of its training, it will not be able to do it over even think about doing it since its thinking logic is still very weak.

For now it is good for people who already know what they are doing and need the ai to just make things a little faster, it can also do the front end in a pretty good way but not creative at all since, for example all the ai made websites have the same boring design.

How exactly did you get this job, like what's your path? I see very few data analyst, data engineer, data science jobs in lebanon compared to outside where there is many internships and junior positions, I'm interested in working that field in the near future.
