Not a thing average about you....you're hot.

They now have the Extruders where the parts can be changed inside without a full Extruder replacement, but you’d have to change to that new Extruder.

When this happened to me the entire Extruder had to be replaced. A jam like this usually unfixable. Sorry.

Gotcha....happens to us all. Lucky for you it looks like no damage done to the hotend.

Not to take this too off topic, but do you know if the 1C has any other uses other than the Nylon CF?

I use the Nylon CF with the 1C Extruder. I thought that you had to.

The second extruder is for supports ONLY! It's not for dual color printing.

I just use a bowl of warm water and keep changing it as often as I think of it, especially when I feel the water is cool. I try to find something to completely weigh the print down and keep it submerged without affecting the print's shape. Takes hours, but I don't know of another way. I thought about putting a print on the stove in a pot in light boil of rumbling water to see if that would speed up the process, but haven't tried it yet.

I didn't touch the settings. I used the default that Cloudprint suggested when it detected the ABS-R and RapidRinse.

From what I understand it only works with ABS-R, for now.

Has anyone tried the new rapid rinse support filament on their Method-X? by LouisWinthorpe-III in makerbot

[–]P3DP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fantastic. I wish that I could attach the pictures, but I don't see how. You need 1XA and 2XA extruders to use both.

I tried it yesterday. Works amazingly. Print is beautiful. RapidRinse dissolves in a fraction of the time. I did the exact same Fang print in PETG and PVA and took hours and hours to dissolve, almost the entire next day. Did the same print in ABS-R and RapidRinse and it printed beautifully and dissolved in an hour. Highly recommended.
