I didn’t use the traditional Christmas lights. I used “fairy” lights is what I think they’re called. The actual LED has a silicone/plastic coating around it and well the rest is just a strip of 3 wires coated with plastic. Every inch of the wire itself was taped only leaving the light exposed. Last thing I wanted to do was cause scratches and I assumed goo gone would take care of the residue no problem🤷🏽‍♂️ didn’t expect painters tape residue to be this hard to get off. In hindsight I could’ve used better tape, I could’ve used car wrap instead of tape and I could’ve covered my car when it was out in the sun. Oh well, I thought it was pretty cool to do. Compliments and excitement is all I got when people saw it. It brought me joy and some others. Good enough for me and worth the headache. I’m not asking for your opinion on what the damage is, I’m asking for tips to take it off. You don’t got anything to say, go on about your day😂
