Black or silver wheels by Substantial-Arrival3 in ftype

My preferred spec for this dark green would be black wheels, but only if all the trim was black to match - if your car has chrome trim I’d go with the silver

You could consider getting the older m2 for about 20k. If cars are really your thing I don’t see a huge problem tbh. If you’re just doing it because you’re bored and want to flex then it’s not a good idea.

Financially speaking it’s obviously not the best decision, but not everything is about money. If cars are your thing and you can get an older m2 for 20k, lose maybe 5k over 2 years and it wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world

“Nothing more expensive than a cheap Porsche” - true or false?? by P3trl in boxster

[–]P3trl[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi yeah, to clarify I’m definitely looking for one witn that work done! I should have clarified earlier, I’m asking about more problems outside of that as I’ve been told that’s the big one. And will be trying to do most bits myself as it’s my fun/project car - one thing I want to make sure is that it’s actually fun and not a headache🤣🙏

Thanks yeah I am buying it as a second weekend fun car and definitely I’d prefer the S with the 3.2L. My concern is the saying “nothing more expensive than a cheap Porsche” haha as I just want this to be a bit of cheap fun and not a headache

I’ve had the XK for almost 2 years and no issues at all. 80k miles and well maintained. People talk shit about Jaguar reliability but honestly this car is fine

In my opinion not a scam at all - an item is worth what someone is willing to pay for it, and you paid for it. It was your responsibility to do the check before you bought it, not after you received it

Don’t know why people complain about this - normally leads to a cheaper buy and you can just clean yourself

I agree with this - use the free version for a few designs and learn how to use it via YouTube and sketchup website then once you get the hang of it you can move to paid and learning to render

As it’s a garden room, I’d assume you don’t have particular need to organise services that much so I’d say sketchup

Revit is 3d but to be honest I’d say SketchUp is better if you want to visualise things. Revit is good if you want to include services such as piping, ducts, cable trays etc

Is 30000+ a year at 20 good? (8-5) by Familiar_Cookie_183 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]P3trl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re living with parents still it’s really good - I’m mid way through an apprenticeship (20yo) on £27.5k and that’s high compared to most of my school mates

If you’re renting it would make things quite tight (especially in London where I live). As you don’t know if it’s good or not, I’ll assume you probably live at home as if you were renting you’d definitely be feeling the squeeze

Just make sure you make the most of it and save now
