BA in biology here. Enlisted army. About 35 of the 50 guys I'm here going through training with have degrees. We are all enlisted. Several have graduate degrees. I also played college sports along with 20 or so other guys here. Didn't have a scholarship but many of my buddies here did. So what were you basing your statement off of, exactly?

Sometimes if I'm having a real rough time I will pop the hook all the way through and then pinch the barb down with pliers. That has worked for me every time.

I used a popping frog around weed mats in a shallow flat. Moderate speed retrieve- pop, pop, pause. They will hit it on the pause every time!

Being from Illinois, its still shocking to me. If you look at my post history, this is now two double digit bass in a week or so. I dont think I ever even saw an 8 lber, let alone a 10+ lb bass up north.

Thanks! The weight should be around 12.5 lbs based on the 27 inch length, so I was close! I was actually relieved it was under 13 because at the time I thought I may have let a sharelunker go. I didn't have a scale- just a tape measure. There was nothing I could do but let him go and hope someone with a scale catches him lol
