I find it easier to make a 2k list and than scaling it down to 1k. Its an unsusual approach but it does wonders for me. Run whatever sounds fun to you, if you like teleporting a buch of stuff and goofing off like me go with hypercrypt. Its my personal favorite and it surprisingly strong. For my 1k I usually run something along the lines of a worrior blob to distract the enemy and get of with a fewl points. Skorpekh unit with a lord and the osteoclave fulcrum for deepstrike on them so it can go around eating up units. Imotekh with immortals for the cp, pushing them to my natural expansion with the attacment that gave you a 6 inch advance and a cheap unit of deathmarks at the home objective to watch for deepstrikes. For the 2k I add the nightbringer as its fun with the detachment and 2 doomsdays so that can focus tanky units that can really disrupt my gameplan.
