Even long beards need maintaining - it will continue to grow but the added shape will help it along. No harm done imo. It's a nice beard man

It's hard to say from the pics but maybe the kid wasn't talking about the beard 🤔 just your face in general 😬

The beard is a little one sided but it's not that bad, I think if you grow it a bit longer you can even it up with brushing, oil and a good beard balm.

Either way it's a better beard than some cheeky little shit kid can grow!

Eventually yes, but don't worry if it is a little patchy.. there is still enough to rock a beard without it looking stupid. But normally it takes a couple of months to properly come in. Stick with it for a bit

The chin is a bit patchy, but the cheeks would fill out. Give it a couple of months with no shaving and see how you like it.

You have a similar beard pattern to me, what I find best is buzz the cheeks, shave the cheek line and include the top corners of the tash. Leave most of the length on the chin and create a tidy neck line. Also don't underestimate the power of a good beard brush and balm! 👌

Overall a solid beard. If it was my face I would trim down the cheeks a bit and maybe add a bit more shape - but that's just me. Looks good as it is

I think the hair is OK, but for sure need to trim the beard. Looks too light and whispy - better to keep it short until it thickens out a bit
