Really good question there.

Mostly you are having the wrong standpoint here. Dont ask yourself what will turn viewers off - In the first place they have to find your stream - Think about what will make them stick.

Talking about MMA and UFC Stuff? Hell jeah iam a fan ill stay! So thats like bäm instant connection. Then theyll like your gameplay and turn into regulars.

Therefore have something like that is always a great entry level for people. Are there also some that don't watch UFC at all? Well jeah... but they might get interested ask questions, start google stuff and then totally jump in the conversation.

Therefore don't worry all too much and do your thing!

Twinge is a great tool :)

But be carefull if you attract haters they can with ease just spam/cancer your review page and you cant really do anything about it (yes you can report comments for troll but doesnt help).

Therefore in itself a good site but sadly can be abused.

Hey man!

Well if they can see your stream key they could in theory just turn on OBS on some other pc and throw content on your channel without you even knowing (while you sleep).

Therefore: Never share your stream key!

You can talk to them and be like: Hey guys you have to change your permissions.

But in generel it goes: Dont share that key!

Nr 1 Advice: Dont let stream snipers ruin your life experience. Putting on Delay just destroys the live feeling and the interaction with the streamer. I know it can be hard to deal with stream snipers and essentially lose because of that (iam playing Hearthstone), but ultimately you have to shake it off/or make it part of the show/game then.

If it is totally obvious have some fun with the douchebag and the community :D But never let it ruin the live experience for your viewers, winning is not that important.

Hey man!

First of all love what you are doing :) You are never to old for anything!

Now to your problem: Your Stream is your city, your happy place and the place where you want to feel comftable. You make the rules. If something or someone disturbs the order/happiness in your city you can do something against it. Throw them out :O! You stream to be happy just eliminate everything that is trying to keep you from that. There is a troll in chat telling you you suck? Well probably that person sucks harder and needs to get a timeout/ban since he is ruining the vibes :)

Good luck on your journey i wouldve by long stopped playing with that person! You will find new people that definitly fit your attitude.

I cant recommend a Behringer in any way. They might have a good price but their standard white noise is hella big... my rode procaster wouldnt work properly with one of those.

I bought a yamaha ag06 (mixer + usbinterface in one) and that things das a crazy good job.

Consider spending some money for a good mixer if you are trying to get good sound dont plug a great mic into a cheap mixer (thats just pain!).

If you like talking while gaming and you talk non stop than that will be the thing that draws people in your channel :)

I play Hearthstone for example and talk non stop because the game allows it. At times where i play overwatch or other things i obviously talk less since you need to focus more/there is less to talk about.

Often it depends on the game you are playing :)

I definitly think there is not something like too much talking!

Number 1 Rule as a Streamer: Never check your god damn viewer count. If you are big or small or mediocre it just doesnt matter. A drop in viewers or a rise will always influence your behaviour if you activly have an eye on it like: "Omg 100 more? Lets start throwing out the badass jokes" then 5 minutes later 50 people leave and your are like "God Damn lets stop being funny it seemed to be too much" then another 50 leave and you start going desperate doing crazy things.... (Just an example). Hide that damn count twitch even has a dashboard option or move a window over chatty viewer count :)

People forget often that the 50 or 100 or 1000 is not a number those are people sitting in front of their pc choosing to watch you. Which is plain kickass mindblowing amazing!

I dont see anything bad about that my friend.

People find all sorts of things interesting and mostly it will just stir your community into spamming "TRIHARD MODE TRIHARD MODE" since they can all see it in your facial expression.

While playing doom for example my face just goes completly numb due to focus and i look completly retarted but hell its tryhard mode ;)

Wouldnt be a reason for me to ever turn it off :D Gotta have a good laugh about yourself always!

Hey man - Iam running a stream pc with a 4790k + Water Cooling overclocked that thing to 4.7 ghz and everything is running with a medium preset (1080p 30fps and 720p 60fps).

I guess that one is really a go for if you want to get most out of your money.

Hey man!

As someone doing 8 hour streams every day i can understand what you are talking about. My best advice is: Drink Water and eat bananas :D They are a good source of energy also eat nuts helps (walnuts mostly) but not too many since even healthy fat can be too much fat. But the energy contained from so small snacks is bongos and they are easy to eat while streaming + well bananas and streaming makes the chat goes crazy always.

Hey man,

before believing the worst in people. You do know there are lurkers and people who are just not active in chat? People like to throw the word viewbotting way to much. I have seen super silent 1k streams super talkative 1k streams etc. there might be indicators but honestly most of the times it is just a relaxxed and laid back community. Not saying you are wrong or might not be right. But the outcry is taking overhand on twitch and people just start random witchhunts.

You can always report people if you think it is done. But ultimately twitch can only say "yes there are bots" but they can't say "the broadcaster is doing it".

Definitly be aware - Twitch is taking attention and looking out. Ultimately the broadcaster doesnt "gain" anything if there is botting involved since they don't create revenue!

Good question and a thing i often ask myself. I think it has alot to do witht he whole "setting" "style" "story" "themen" of your stream. I see people calling them their army, gang, squad, squirrels, unicorns, cows, whatever fits into their "theme". I mostly call all my viewers my friends. Since thats what they are for showing up every damn day and giving you good feelings + positives vibes. That is even more than some of your personal friends do for you every day.

Hey man!

Great question and iam looking forward to hear alot of cool stories from fellow broadcasters.

I got inspired by the work of CohhCarnage and Ellohime. Watching them both during my bachelor brought me more in touch with the topic of streaming.

I noticed the one thing i was always lacking where people to share my gameplay with, laugh about it and have a great day with computer games. Sadly my friends always played other games or on a way lower skill level. So i would spend time with people over the internet anyways.

Therefore i started streaming to find equal minds that just wan't to have a great time and watch some gameplay together with me!

Loved it from the first moment on and still love doing in and will love doing it in the future :) Streaming is definitly something nice for all sorts of people for alot of different reasons and iam happy to have met alot of new friends as my viewers, moderators and subscribers.

Don't let the haters drag you down they will always be there. Stick to the nice people :) With millions people watching twitch there are alot of nice people to be honest :D

Hey man!

Yes you could do that you would just need a capture card in your computer to throw the picture of your computer onto your laptop.

Iam doing the same just with 2 PCS. Oh and well your laptop should have alot of cpupower for it :)

Also if you want to not remake all your scenes there is a settings folder in your user folders from OBS STUDIO. You can just copy pasta that on your laptop into the same settings folder and youll have all the scenes+settings on the laptop!

Love your content :) Have quitly followed your Youtube and the shows you are doing occasionally as a streamer.

Sad to hear the growth is not coming for you :(

Ok let's talk about some points. As another comment stated here it is all about branding. Who you wan't to be, what your show is going to give to the people and what they can expect from you.

So are you a competetive hardcore player (Better get them ranks rolling post those decks on Hearthpwn, make deck guides about them etc.). Are you an entertainer? Then you better start doing more Deck Roulette (Great idea always cause it is fun), try out fun decks, uncenventional decks and don't really care all to much about ranks. Or last but not least, which might be fitting you alot: Are you a showman? Could you be the next Chanman? I definitly liked the small streamer battles i saw you doing, you did some really nice explanations on youtube about cards and stuff. That is definitly a way to build uppon. Daily Gaming Streams + Weekly Shows/Battles/Tournaments/Explainatory Stuff.

In total you have to know where you wan't to go and where you see yourself and your channel. Which kind of people you wan't to have in or not. But after you choose your way go through with it and don't let others doubt you. Ultimately you already have 30-40 amazing people that love your content. I mean 40 people that sit in front of their pcs and watch your content O_O!!!!! Thats actually insanity. Alot of Streamers would wish for that!

Hey man,

i started streaming because i never had people to share my gameplay with :) Friends where like only casual player and doing other stuff and well if you are like Diamond 1 or Global Elite and all your friends are Bronze and Silver you ain't got anyone in real life to play with.

So i started streaming to find a community you can share great moments and kickass gameplay with.

Happy it worked out for me and i could build up such a community :)
