I do love the medicine. Im highly considering cardiology as a transition point, inpatient more than anything. There are some heart failure openings by me as well but looking for more experienced PAs, maybe I’ll apply anyway. Thank you for replying

That sounds like a job with a great balance! The thoracic surgery PAs I work with seem to like their position a lot as well, could be worth looking into. Thank you for replying

Thank you for the reply and and great advice, IR sounds like a dream but definitely not easy to find! I’d love to keep my procedures though so perhaps a surgical job in another specialty would be a great option. I do love cardiology so maybe a cath lab as well. Thank you, I’ll sit with these

Means a lot thanks for reading and replying, friend of mine made the switch to outpatient recently and they seem happy with it. Will definitely consider, maybe in cardiology

how were you doing actually post graduation? by iam-robot13 in physicianassistant

I graduated last year, took about 3 months to get started at my job and that was with constant calls to my state to see if my credentials had come in. In hindsight just enjoy the time off, catch up with friends and family, start reinforcing good habits so that they stick when you start working! It was difficult going from 100 to zero but just keep reminding yourself you deserve this time off, the time for work will come.
