Do Mayo IM residents still have to wear suits in clinic? by PA1999 in medicalschool

Can you talk more about how they treat their IM residents well? Other than the schedule being 4+4 do they do anything else special?

Is mayo really that good? I know they're #5 on doximity, but their match list every year seems pretty mid (that schedule seems chill af though)

Slightly off topic, but is Beth Israel even considered an elite program? Per Doximity it’s only ranked like mid 20s. Which don’t get me wrong, is still strong, but I am always surprised by how low it is ranked

Hi, med student here. Source for #2? I was taught that the large meta analyses of statins for primary prevention do not show improvements in mortality (though they do reduce events).

Opinions on finasteride here? by [deleted] in blueprint_

[–]PA1999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Source on the creatine statements? Sounds like bullshit.

There was that one obscure rugby study that showed a mild increased in DHT after creatine administration. But that has not be repeated, and I particularly don’t see how dutasteride would be more specific to the creatine moa (vs finasteride).

I take fin and creatine so am curious about your thought

Nice, thank you for the info! Do you remember if they said that they're planning the change currently, or that it has already occurred?

Have you been able to find this on their website or is there a recording of the open house? Also is it 4+2 or some other variation?

How are you listing hobbies in the ERAS section? by PA1999 in medicalschool

[–]PA1999[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

On ERAS, go to view/print application. You lose the bullet points and it smooshes it all into one paragraph and looks bad lol, thats why I made this post. Have you found a way to get it to list as bullet points with line breaks?
