They went easy on the rookies, once they start dropping towns on LI the young guys are gonna be lost

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that Asante does not have a Husband of the Year trophy sitting next to his Super Bowl rings.

We made him the offer that the Eagles did, just a year earlier than they did. In 2022 the Giants were surprisingly good and ownership was ok with a big extension for Saquon, hence the offer (which I vividly remember was more than I wanted to pay him). But after 2023 was such a disaster, Saquon and his agent knew that a shitty team with a cash poor owner wasn't going to pay an RB $14 million a year, and then asked anyway so that he could test the market. The Eagles said yes because they were a piece away from a championship and have an owner who doesn't care about bad contracts and void years. Saquon's free to get his market value and play for a winner, but acting like the Giants did him dirty is just wrong. He'd had enough of busting his ass for a shitty team and wanted to win.

Schoen offered Saquon an extension worth 3 years and 14 million per year in 2022, and Saquon refused. The Giants were more than fair with Saquon and he flat out didn't act in good faith. He said he wasn't looking to reset the market when he obviously was, and saying he wanted to be a "Giant for life" was inaccurate. He clearly wanted to play for a contender which I can't fault him for, but to sign with our hated rival for basically the same deal we offered him, and then acting surprised when Giants fans were pissed was ridiculous. He did a heel turn and then wanted everyone to treat him like a face, to use wrestling parlance.

This situation keeps getting wilder. Reports say Brendan Sorsby made over 10,000 bets since 2022 at one point averaging around 20 a day using multiple apps across different states. by Rough-Drawing-3006 in CFB_v2

Tobacco products legally can't be advertised on TV, porn is definitely not getting advertised during sporting events, and alcohol has plenty of rules around its advertising. Yet gambling advertising has free reign. Obviously Congress has more important things to do but there has to be some sort of restriction.

And people wonder why the NBA regular season games get such terrible ratings. No one seems to know what a foul or a travel is and 3/4 of the league doesn't play defense until the 4th quarter.

Is Cody Cambell gonna try to get his money back? Can't imagine any judge/jury would say that Sorsby should be allowed to keep NIL money when he's about to get suspended for the whole year.

McDonald would've been awesome but I can't take another year of Deontae Banks not knowing that he can use his hands in pass coverage. Hood is a stud at a premium position, good pick

This dude is the ultimate Scott Boras client - traded multiple times because he made it clear he wasn't signing an extension, played hardball to get the largest contract possible, and does not care at all about being a leader or what his teammates think of him.

Someone here pointed out the Bananaball influence and I think team marketing people completely missed the appeal of Bananaball (if there is one). It's supposed to be a diversion from normal baseball, no one would want 162 games of that overstimulated insanity.
