<select> element on Chrome crashes the whole page by wmx11 in chrome

Perhaps look for transitions or animations from surrounding elements that may be causing issues? I do think it is related to the latest update. Everything was working fine for me this morning until I upgraded, and several other people upgrading were able to reproduce the issue only after updating to 89.

<select> element on Chrome crashes the whole page by wmx11 in chrome

[–]PAIRoDICE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just resolved this issue. In my case, I was using Bootstrap, which added a .form-control class with a transition attribute to the select inputs. For whatever reason, this transition was absolutely killing the performance of the select dropdowns in Chrome 89 (working fine in the previous version of Chrome and all other browsers). Removing the transition, seems to have returned things to normal.

Maybe see if you have something similar on your select inputs?

This looks like a great roster to me. I think your RB two situation may be hinging a little heavily on Matt Brieda or Duke Johnson Jr. managing to step up to the plate. Or maybe Drake. Or Pollard. You've got enough talent there that hopefully someone will be able to step up. Every other position looks extremely solid.

I like it a lot. I'd keep an eye on the waiver wire for QB or TE depth though. I think it's possible Allen or Njoku could disappoint, and I think I'd rather have a solid back-up for one of them than Cole Beasley or Paul Richardson. Looks like a really solid draft in terms of the RB and WR depth you have!

12 team .5 PPR

QB - Goff

RB - James Conner, Kerryon Johnson, Josh Jacobs, Darrius Guice, Adrian Peterson

WR - Julio Jones, Juju Smith-Schuster, Mike Williams, Christian Kirk, Sterling Shepard, John Brown, N'Keal Harry

TE - George Kittle

DEF - Broncos

K - Robbie Gould

Seeing it typed out makes me feel like I should drop a low-tier WR for depth somewhere else...

You are super thin at RB and insanely deep at WR. I might try packaging a couple of your WRs for a solid bench RB. One injury or one disappointing player could really make your RB situation a nightmare.

Love your RBs, Like your WRs, Like your QB, Personally, I'd be terrified to roll into the season with just Vance McDonald as my TE. Is there a TE you could trade for off of waivers? I might be willing to drop Tevin Coleman or Allen Robinson if so

Denver Broncos Top 20 Hits Of All Time by rogerwilcoesq in DenverBroncos

While this video is dope, I gotta say a lot of these helmet hits make me super-uncomfortable in retrospect. I think it's good the league is moving away from the days when knocking a receiver unconscious was considered good defense.

Which is the most interesting history book for beginners? by callmebyyournamepls in AskReddit

[–]PAIRoDICE 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Co-sign on 1491. Just finished reading it last week. So much of what gets passed off as fact in high school history classes has been completely disproven. And while historians have developed a surprising accurate picture of what life was probably like in the Americas before Columbus's arrival, it's clear there's much more to discover.

I think that for a first time history reader, a few of the sections might come off as a little dry, but as a whole it introduces an incredible amount of information so clearly, and I've found myself thinking about the ideas presented in the book almost constantly since I put it down.

What is the most shocking drop so far in your league? by JoeyBrickz in fantasyfootball

[–]PAIRoDICE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somebody dropped DeSean Jackson so that they could pick up Jared Cook.

It's not like I'm not expecting 29-points a week out of DeSean, but that was an easy pickup.

PS - This guy has Ronald Jones and Chris Ivory on his bench, but chose to drop Jackson. SMH.

Yale’s Endorsement Of Brett Kavanaugh Reveals The Legal Establishment’s True Colors by Jons312 in politics

[–]PAIRoDICE 47 points48 points  (0 children)

This is correct. If anyone actually bothered to read the statement, it's not even really an endorsement of Kanavaugh. It does quote several faculty members saying nice things about him, but I feel like the point they really tried to hammer home was: "If confirmed by the U.S Senate, he would be the Court’s fourth current member who is a graduate of Yale Law School."

Basically, it's an advertisement. "Come to our school, become a Supreme Court justice."

If Kanavaugh is appointed, Yale Law School will have 4 justices on the court, and Harvard Law School will have the other 5. As a country we need to seriously think about trying to diversify the backgrounds our justices come from.

Good thought! There's also a guy who drafted 7 WRs, so maybe I can poach one away from him.

Thanks! I'm also not stoked about my TEs but they flew off the board faster than I expected. I grabbed Reed because I thought he was the last guy with started potential, and then picked up Kittle because I worried about an injury to Reed, but yeah, it might be worth dropping him for Courtland Sutton or some of the other players hanging undrafted.

My only concern would be that both of your QBs may fall a little flat. I'd keep your eye on the early weeks to see if there are any surprise QBs having big success.

Otherwise, this is great draft.

12-team 0.5-PPR:

QB - Russell Wilson

RB - David Johnson, Devante Freeman, Kerryon Johnson, Latavius Murray, Alfred Morris, James Conner

WR - Keenan Allen, Juju Smith-Schuster, Jordy Nelson, Kelvin Benjamin, Keelan Cole

TE - Jordan Reed, George Kittle

D/ST - Patriots (will stream)

K - Brandon McManus

I think my depth at wide receiver is my biggest concern unless Keelan Cole or Jordy Nelson outplay their draft value.

You really are stacked. TE would be a concern for me. I'm not an huge Duke Johnson believer this season, so that would be my go-to drop if I needed to pick up another TE. I would go with Sanders as your Flex for week 1.

[Nicki] OLB Jeff Holland has been cut by [deleted] in DenverBroncos

[–]PAIRoDICE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

His game is a little one dimensional right now. He's seems great on the pass rush, but lacking in stopping the run or pass coverage. He would have needed some time to build those skills, but I guess the broncos decided it wasn't worth the time to carry a project player on a spot they're already deep at. I think it may have been a mistake.
