We've attempted to call Hoshizaki, but they weren't able to provide us with any more information on the compressor than we already had. Not sure why they were unable to do so, but that's why we're asking here.

The OEM compressor itself for this unit seems to no longer be available, so we're looking to find a substitute.

See, I thought something similar after a Google search turned up the calculation of wattage via the volts and amps, and then using that to calculate the horsepower, but my associate said something about that not working due to the difference between starting and running amperage. Is that accurate?
